Olivia paused and looked at the man at the dining table. He was glowing and did not look like he had
just suffered a fever.
‘No thanks.”

a sandwich.

’Where are you? Kate’s illness is getting worse. She needs someone to sign the papers, so do that if
you’re at the
hospital and don’t miss the emergency deadline. I’m on my way.’
’I’m at home.”
Ken’s voice was a little indifferent. “Your presence is all they need.”
‘Ken, how long are you going to be at odds with her? She’s your sister. Are you sure you don’t care if
she dies?”
Olivia’s tone was harsh with a hint of a reprimand. “That’s enough. You’ll regret it if you keep this up.”
‘Why are you suddenly defending her?’
‘Because I saw the change in her and what she is. You know very well that she’s not bad. Stop being
stubborn, will you? She needs your support.”

ago. but you didn’t. You were fine six years ago, and you were fine four years ago. You’re still fine now.
Will you die?”
Her remark made John feel a tightness in his chest.
Everything she said was familiar. It was similar to what he had said four years earlier.
She was mad at him.
’Did you sign the divorce papers?”
Olivia’s expression immediately changed. “How do you know about that? Didn’t you pass out
yesterday?”
John turned to look at her. “Olivia, I’m not a robot. How can I be eavesdropping when I have a 39
degrees Celsius fever? You carelessly left the divorce papers on the bed. I found them when I woke up
this morning.”
With that said, he looked blankly at her and asked, “So when are you going to sign them? Hmm?’
