"I don't know why I'm here," I tell the janitor as I stand in his closet and he raises an eyebrow before
shutting the door and leaving.
I got a note from Theodore saying to meet him here. "It's important" but it been thirty minutes. I
should've known.
I angrily stomp out and lucky me I find him leaning against a locker talking to some girl.
But who am I right?
I only roll my eyes and get to the first period early. I sat in my seat slamming my book onto the desk
and doodling all over it.
The door opens and I assume it's the teacher so I don't bother lifting my head.
"This isn't the janitor's closet." The deep voice rings and I grit my teeth.
"What game are you playing at?" The stupid idiot raises an eyebrow at me and I roll my eyes. "How
dare you just ditch me so you could lean against a locker talking to some Betty bye-bye."
"Betty bye-bye?" He says laughing and I slam the book shut. "Relax Quen I was just discussing
something with a friend."
"Oh okay. That makes everything better! I don't even know why I agreed. I don't even know what I'm
doing anymore." Tears spring to my eyes mentally curse myself. "You have me on this stupid
rollercoaster and I want to get off! I can't do this! I came to college to learn. And to get away from you.
Okay? You took away everything from me. What else do you want Theodore? What else?! Because
I honestly have nothing left." Grabbing my stuff I decide that maybe its best I look for another
apartment.
I skip class for the rest of the day just sitting in the dorm on my laptop, searching for apartments
nearby.
They're all so expensive but I found a decent one that I could pay the two first months, but then I'll have
to get a job.
Dialing the number, I wait a few seconds and on the third ring, a woman answers.
"Um. . . hello, I'm calling about your one-bedroom apartment? Not too far from Hudson College?"
#
"Thanks so much for helping out." I sigh at Ocean and he smiles picking up the boxes.
"You're welcome."
Amazingly, I got the apartment on the same day that I called. Seems like she was in desperate need of
the money, I hope she doesn't need it all the time.
Halfway done, Theodore comes stomping in.
"What is going on here?" He all but roars and I stand tall.
"I'm moving out," I inform him and his face falls.
"What?"
"I'm gone, Theodore. Bye-bye." I smile sarcastically as Ocean loads the last box. There wasn't much
stuff anyway, I just wanted it to move fast.
"Quensilla wait!" He grabs my arm and I glare and his hand that wraps around it.
He releases and I cross my arms staring at him.
"I'm sorry okay. I- I don't know how exactly to do this. I like you, you know I do, but it's hard to express
things that I'm not accustomed to. I'm sorry that I made you so mad all the time and that I kiss you
when you don't want to. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. If you want to leave that's fine, I'm not going to stop you,
I just want you to forgive me."
I'm speechless by the end of his confession and I nod.
"I-I need some time. . ." I tell him and he nods stepping aside.
"Goodbye. . ."He murmurs and I nod.
"Bye. . ." I turn around and leave. It feels strange as I hug Ocean and get into my car driving off. I
ignore all feelings and push them deep down where they belong.
