The waiter was about to take Carl's order. Hearing Nicole's words, he stopped. He looked at Carl and
then at Nicole, not knowing what to do.
"Sorry, I want to confirm it. Would this gentleman like a cup of latte or ice cubes?" the barista asked
with a professional smile.
Nicole smiled kindly and said, "Ice cubes please. I'm his mother. It's up to me. Thank you."

"Thank you." Nicole forcefully interrupted Carl.
After the barista left, she looked at Carl and said leisurely, "Eat."
The weather in early spring was not cool, but it was not warm either. It was far from the time to have

Carl looked around and lowered his voice. "Mom, don't do this. It's embarrassing."
"You still know it's embarrassing? You make such a big commotion for that woman. Your father and I
are embarrassed. You even stopped Jessica's work for her!"
Nicole said angrily, "What do you see in that woman? Are you blind?"
Carl sighed, "She is pregnant."

Carl explained, "That morning, Jessica watched Sivan come out of my room. If I say Sivan's baby is not
mine, will she believe me?"

have to wait for her to get better."
