“My dad had no bad habits. He didn’t smoke nor play cards, but he liked to drink wine. When I was

young, I remembered I was around six or seven years old, I started stealing my dad’s wine. In the

beginning, I was curious about wine. After drinking it, I found out that the taste was not that good, and it

caused my nose and throat uncomfortable.”

Alan Hoyle laughed, “But, you’re still drinking it.”

“For kids, drinking fell second. The fun was in the stealing part that no one noticed. Slowly, I started to

learn to hold my liquor.”

Alan Hoyle looked at the funny and proud woman in front of him, “You little rascal.”

He was just worried about her.

She kicked his feet under the table, “Hey, you really can’t compare with me.”

“Are you trying to make me lose to escape our agreement earlier today?” he reminded her smilingly.

She blushed. Her heart skipped a beat. Why couldn’t she hide her intention in front of this man? She

glared at him, bitterly, “You have seen through me.”

“Of course, I have, my beloved little fox.” he smiled dangerously.

“You’re an old fox.” She grunted.

Her capabilities appeared insignificant when compared with his.

After the candlelight dinner, gorgeous fireworks bloomed over the hotel roof. They turned into different

shapes once they were in the sky.

She ran to the balcony, “It’s beautiful.”

He took the blanket and put it around her bare shoulders. He wrapped her whole body and hugged her

from behind, “Do you like it?”

Something popped in her mind as she turned her head around, “You didn’t tell someone to set the

fireworks off, did you?”

He nodded. He didn’t deny it.

“You’re so wasteful.” she was moved. All the fireworks in the sky were for her.

He laughed in her ears, “You’re telling me to save my money now?”

Her hands were trapped inside the blanket. So, she kicked him in the feet, “Who’s telling you to save

money? You’re rich already.”

She couldn’t help smiling. She lifted her head and looked up at the bright sky.

The fireworks lit up for a small second, but her relationship with him should work the opposite.

The fireworks lasted for a long time. Many people were alarmed. Even the guest next door leaned out

from the balcony. They looked like a young couple. Happiness flowed in their faint laughter.

It was a beautiful night.

If only Annie was here, it would have been perfect.

She was so moved that she said, “Let’s go back tomorrow. I miss Annie.”

“Okay.” He also missed her and his little princess. The lovely girl turned out to be his daughter, and the

feeling of being a father was so beautiful. It was beyond words.

She turned her body and looked at him, “Alan, that you for your persistence.”

If it weren’t for his persistence, they wouldn’t end up together. Also, because of his tenacity, her

struggle became meaningful. If she had to do it again, she would.

Alan Hoyle sighed. This woman started to say stupid things, he couldn’t help teasing her, “Is this how

you express your gratitude? Don’t you want to marry me?”

She was not easy to be teased. She reached out her hand from the blanker to pinch his arm, “I already

did that five years ago.”

That was true. He lowered his head and bit his lips, “Silly girl, you weren’t afraid of me, were you?”

“I had no option. I was young and foolish. You tempted me.” she sighed and poked him in the face. This

man was really good looking. His contour lines were sharp, and his facial features were perfect.

“Do you regret it?” he asked.

If she happened to regret it, he couldn’t blame her. He just wanted to know her truest feelings over the

years. He didn’t want to be selfish. It was just that after so many happenings, he was the first to give

her up and go abroad. It was only natural for her to regret it.

“Why do I regret it?” she asked.

Learning that she didn’t regret it, he couldn't help kissing her.

This time, the kiss was hotter than before, as if he was to devour her. She was silly, but he was happy

and satisfied. He couldn’t help falling for her deeply.

His hands were restless. He slipped through the blanket, and like a flame, his hands climbed up her

waist.

His kiss, like a deadly poison, made her drunk.

Her face blushed red. He didn’t know whether it was the wine or the reflection of the fireworks in the

sky. He knew for sure that he liked it.

“Let’s go in,” he whispered. He picked her up without waiting or her to react.

The blanket fell to the ground. He wanted to devour her right away.
