The air tensed up in the room.

Alice’s eyes twitched; she was not having it. She raised her chin and stared at her son, who was a lot

taller than her. Suddenly, her heart was filled with sadness.

‘He’s right. Standing in front of me is no longer the boy that I have to be worried about.’ She looked at

her son’s cold expression and her heart tightened. She was feeling a lot of things, but most importantly,

she was just worried. What mother would not wish the best for their child? Alice did not want to argue

with her son as well, so she sighed and stared at him. She could only give in. “I don’t want to force

you… But you should consider some time, okay? I just want you to be happy.”

‘My son is extremely outstanding, so I just want him to have the best partner. Why can’t he

understand?’

Sean loosened his clenched fists.

His expression was not as cold as it was before, and he looked askance at Alice. “I’m happy

Right after he said that, Molly appeared at the door. She was there to call him over for dinner, but when

she saw Alice in her formal dress there, she was shocked.

‘What a coincidence. We meet again.’

Molly put on a natural expression as she greeted Alice politely, “Mrs. Anderson.” Alice was in a

beautiful gown and her makeup seemed like it was carefully done. She looked like she was going to

attend a banquet, so Molly figured that she was going to Abigail’s birthday. She remembered them

bringing this up when she met Ricky and Alice a few days ago. When Alice saw Molly again, she paid

more attention to Molly. She glanced at Molly a few times and said, “Dr. May, I didn’t have the chance

to chat with you since everything was too rushed the last time we met. Thank you for treating my son’s

legs.”

‘But still, do they have to meet so often for the treatment?’

“This doctor looks quite close with Sean. They don’t look like they share a normal doctor patient

relationship.’

Alice wondered.

Alice’s tone was gentle, and her mannerism was soft. Even though she was in a luxurious gown, she

did not give off a snobby or unapproachable vibe.
