Abigail took back the project plan, but it was not easy for her to see Sean, so she was not satisfied
if she just left like that.
Abigail then put away the project plan.
“On my birthday, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson said you couldn‘t show up because you
were too busy. You have to take good care of yourself. Don‘t overwork yourself,” Abigail said
sincerely, and her expression was genuine. Her gaze on Sean was filled with concern as well.
Sean responded coldly with a “K” as he thought, ‘Why is she still here?‘ For the sake of the relationship b
etween their family,
Sean did not express his frustration. “What are you busy with these days?” Abigail insisted on finding ne
w topics to talk about. “I talk with Mrs. Anderson sometimes, and she told me that you haven‘t been goin
g home for some time. I’m just asking, don‘t take it to heart.”
“Busy with work.” Sean‘s answer was pithy as he was starting to feel irritated while he listened to Abigail‘
s cacophony.
Facing the man that had no intention of making her stay, Abigail felt utterly displeased, but she still asked
through her teeth, “Then do you want to have lunch together later?”
“No, I have work to do.” His tone remained cold. Abigail did not mind as she smiled and
responded, “We can eat at home.”
Sean was upset as he looked down at the warm tea in his hands. Without even looking up, he said coldly
, “It isn‘t convenient for you to be here.” “Why not?”
