Nicole frowned and agreed to go home.
After parting with Yvette, she went straight to the Stanton Mansion.
Clayton was in the living room with Kai and Floyd, Floyd had always appreciated Clayton’s gentle and
modest nature that was not arrogant. His reserve and calmness made him seem very reliable.
As soon as Nicole went into the house, she saw Lil Michael dragging his small suitcase and coming
down the stairs reluctantly. His eyes were red.
“Pretty Lady…” Lil Michael ran over aggrievedly and hugged Nicole.
Nicole hugged him back and suddenly felt very sad.
Lil Michael lived in the Stanton Mansion for so long that he had long been a part of their family.
However, they were clear that Clayton’s feelings for Lil Michael were much more profound.
Clayton stood up and smiled at Nicole.
“The problems abroad held up many days of Michael’s schooling. I’ve enrolled him in school, which will
start soon, so it can’t be delayed further.”
Floyd sighed at the side. He was very reluctant.
“There are many good schools in the country. Must you send him to school abroad?”
Clayton patiently explained, “His curriculum is specially tailored abroad. There’s no such service here,
and Michael has already adapted to the speed of learning overseas.
If he suddenly switches curriculum, all his schoolwork will be delayed.”
His academic planning for Michael was specially customized by professionals from the best schools.
Clayton also hired the best teachers for Michael that ordinary schools could not compare to.
Floyd looked at Lil Michael reluctantly. The boy went over obediently and wrapped his arms around
Floyd’s neck.
“Uncle Floyd, I’ll come back to visit you often! I’ll finish all my lessons as soon as possible and inherit my
daddy’s entire estate, then I can come back in style and be with you forever! No one can separate us
again!”
Clayton stood there and sucked in a breath of cold air. ‘Huh… What a big ambition! He might as well
have wished for me to die early!
Floyd was amused and coaxed the boy before sending them off to the entrance.
Clayton stood by the car and looked at Nicole, seemingly hesitant to say something because he was
concerned about the presence of so many people around them. Finally, he just lowered his eyes and
smiled.
“Goodbye, Nicole.”
Nicole nodded. She suddenly remembered something and said, “Wait a sec!”
She took a bankcard from upstairs and hurried down, then handed it to Clayton when Lil Michael was not
looking
“What’s this?”
Nicole chuckled. “It’s a back-to-school gift for Lil Michael. Don’t refuse it. It’s our custom here to start the
new school semester with an allowance!”
Clayton felt a little baffled. “So, he’s supposed to take a bank card to school?”
He figured that Nicole would not just give a small sum of allowance.
Nicole tilted her head with a smile. “Us Medianians are generous people, so we must let Lil Michael’s
international friends see our strength.”
Floyd nodded at the side. “Yes, just take it. What’s this small amount anyway?”
Clayton had no choice but to accept it on behalf of Lil Michael.
