He was familiar with the way Suzanne's mind worked. The girl's mind was constantly filled with

Suzanne was quite a glutton. As long as there was something to eat, she would be quite obedient.
That worked out in Zayden's favor because it made her easy to control, and it made her obey his
orders.
Suzanne pouted. “Oh.”
Half an hour later, the car came to a stop outside the entrance of Fourton Hospital. Turning to Zayden,
Gwendolyn said, “I'll be getting off here. You should return and rest early. Remember to follow the
instructions the hospital gave you!”
Previously, Zayden would have been overjoyed at the concern Gwendolyn showed to him.
However, the current Zayden felt as if she was only asking him to listen to the instructions to hasten his
recovery so she could leave him as soon as possible.
His expression grew a tad frosty. “I want to pay Melanie a visit too.”

When Suzanne realized that Zayden did not order the driver to start the car, she turned to gaze at
Gwendolyn's retreating figure until it disappeared from her sight. Still, Zayden did not order the driver to
leave.
“Mr. Surrington, Ms. Ashton has already gone inside. Let us return as well!”
Zayden shot her a glare before ordering the driver, “Let's go!”
The driver started the engine and drove away from the hospital.
Fourton Hospital was a high-end private hospital. Not just anyone could afford to see a doctor here.
Thus, the hospital was not as crowded, and the air conditioning was sufficiently cool. Gwendolyn felt a
refreshing coolness the moment she set foot through the doors.
Weaving through the outpatient building, she then passed by the medical technology building before
entering the building for inpatients.
Just as Gwendolyn was about to reach for the elevator button in the VIP building, she saw Felicia
coming over with a thermos in her hand. The latter's expression stiffened when she spotted
Gwendolyn.
“What are you doing here?”
Why is she everywhere? She must have come to see Patrick! No, I can't let Gwendolyn go upstairs. I
can't let her meet with Patrick!
Patrick was currently unwell and needed someone to take care of him. Felicia planned to make use of

better not visit him. He might relapse if he sees you.”
Felicia breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly, she did not feel as tense.
Gwendolyn snorted in response. “I know.”
She was aware that Hector did not like her. Indeed, she would likely agitate the old man if visited him.
Gwendolyn strode into the elevator when its doors opened. Felicia followed behind her and put her
finger on the button, holding the door open. “I thought you weren't going to agitate Old Mr. Lowen? Why
are you getting in an elevator, then? Go home already!”
