Edwin did not even dare to look Marin in the eye, afraid of being seen through.
“Yes, indeed.”
He nodded and paid attention to the road ahead.
“There will be a party tomorrow night. If you have time, I would like to invite you as my plus-one.”
“I see…”
Marin drawled with interest, but she did not immediately agree.
Edwin became disheartened.

Edwin parked the car outside the hotel and went to the passenger seat to open the door for her.

Marin did not want to tease him anymore. She got out of the car on her own and walked to the hotel.

Terrence asked, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s fine.”
Alexa replied with good grace, raising her glass to Marin meaningfully.
Marin and Edwin looked like a young couple who had just fallen in love.
Sasha also noticed Marin and Edwin.
“That’s Alexa’s friend.” Sasha commented indifferently, “She’s quite good looking. She actually got into
a relationship with Edwin.”
Zeke followed her gaze and felt that the woman looked a little familiar.
“Do you know her?”
“I played cards with her once.”
“What’s her name?”
Sasha frowned, clearly unhappy.
“Are you interested in her? It’s a pity that you don’t have a chance now. She has a boyfriend,” Sasha
said sarcastically.
The malice in Zeke’s eyes deepened, and he still stared at Marin.
Sasha tugged at him several times, but he did not respond.
“Do you have to make trouble with me on this occasion?”
Sasha lost her temper, and Zeke frowned, obviously annoyed with her.
“I just think she looks familiar, and I don’t mean anything else. Don’t make trouble.”

beside Alexa.

“I’m going out for a smoke.”

Edwin did not respond.

“I know your identity.” Edwin said slowly, “But meeting you at that coffee shop was unexpected.”
“Are you still my puppy?”
Marin waved her phone in front of him. Edwin saw he was named “puppy” on her contact list.
