It was noon when Winnie returned to the company. She thought by this time Brian should have a break,
so she went to him for lunch. When she walked out of the office, only to see Wendy pushed the door in.
Seeing Wendy, Winnie was upset and returned to her office.
Brian's office.
"Can I help you?”
"Oh, by the way, I never thanked you for taking care of Winwin the other day..."
"Brian..."
Before Brian could finish his words, Wendy sitting on the sofa interrupted him, but she hesitated,
wondering if she should tell him.
"Why? Is your work not going well, or have you encountered something difficult?"

"I thought that Stefan would leave after he sent Winwin to XX hotel, but they spent there overnight."

would think it was my chance to get back at her. So I didn't tell you."
"I have decided to tell you now, because I can no longer keep it in my mind. I can't watch you in the
dark. I'm not sure what happened to them, but I think it was a thoughtless thing for Winwin."
"If anyone takes a picture of that, if anyone knows about your relationship, it will be a terrible blow to
your reputation even if nothing big happens."
Wendy gave a perfect explanation, saying her starting point was for Brian's good.
"So should I thank you for telling me so that I can be prepared?"
Brian said in cold voice, not because of Wendy's answer, but because of the blow to his reputation in
Wendy's mouth.

When he was lying in bed, he was still thinking about it. It was really irritable to think about it.
"Winwin, I forgot to ask you, did you get caught in the rain that night?"

“Which night?”
Winnie went to the bed with doubts.
"The day I met Gloria on a business trip. I called Vanessa and she said it was raining and you hadn't
come back yet. I was worried about you."
Brian mentioned that day, but it was Winnie’s gloomy day, speaking of it, she felt upset and heartache.
She couldn't figure out why Brian asked about it.
"No, I got home after walking outside for a while."
"You did not ask me till now. You do care about me."
Winnie said sarcastically and walked to the dressing table to put on hand cream.
Winnie wanted to forget what happened that day, forget everything, but Brian brought it up. It was not
concern, it just hurt her heart.
Since so, Winnie gave a perfunctory answer.
