Chapter 572 Who's Lying

It was noon when Winnie returned to the company. She thought by this time Brian should have a break,

so she went to him for lunch. When she walked out of the office, only to see Wendy pushed the door in.

Seeing Wendy, Winnie was upset and returned to her office.

Brian's office.

"Can I help you?”

"Oh, by the way, I never thanked you for taking care of Winwin the other day..."

"Brian..."

Before Brian could finish his words, Wendy sitting on the sofa interrupted him, but she hesitated,

wondering if she should tell him.

"Why? Is your work not going well, or have you encountered something difficult?"

Brian asked Wendy with a frowned. He was worried became Wendy seemed to have something to say.

"Yes, but it's not my business."

At this, Wendy stopped.

"No matter whose business is, just go ahead."

Brian was impatient. He thought even if it was not Wendy’s business, she must need his help. He once

said if Wendy asked him for help, he would not refuse.

"It's Winwin."

Hearing Brian’s strict voice, Wendy directly said it out.

"Winwin? What's it?"

Brian was at a loss.

"That day in the bar I met Winwin. She was sent home by Stefan, while I went home."

Speaking of this, Wendy again deliberately stopped, but Brian focused on it.

"Go on."

Brian said in a cold voice. He believed that Wendy would not only say nonsense he already knew.

“Brian, I can go on, but you must not be angry. I've only seen the surface. You must make it clear."

Wendy first placated Brian. She wanted Brian to be angry after he learned the truth.

"Say it, I have no time to waste."

Brian was completely out of patience. He even suspected that Wendy wanted to have more time to be

with him.

"On my way home, I met Winwin vomiting on the side of the road. Just as I was about to get off and

check on her, they got in the car. But later they changed their route and didn't go home."

"I was curious and worried about Winwin, so I followed them. But, but they went to a hotel."

Wendy’s voice got smaller and smaller, for fear that Brian would go rage and be angry at her.

Wendy paused for a moment and then continued as Brian had no response.

"I thought that Stefan would leave after he sent Winwin to XX hotel, but they spent there overnight."

Wendy had finished her words. She was ready for Brian being angry, and then he would question

Winnie.

However, it did not happen.

Brian asked Wendy coldly with a frown.

"Is that all?”

"Yes... That's all."

Wendy was panic. It did not go as she wanted to, so she did not know what to do.

Brian had no response after he got to know the truth.

"So what if they stayed in a room? Wendy, I know why you're telling me this. Why didn't you tell me that

night, but now?"

Brian did not lose his temper, at least on the surface, he looked calm.

"Nothing... That's why I asked you to check it out. It is my guess, I have no purpose."

Wendy was more panic. She did not understand why Brian had no response and did not know how to

answer Brian’s question.

Brian was now suspicious of her, rather than Winnie getting a room.

"Why didn't you tell me until now? Why didn't you tell me that night?"

Brian still did not get angry, but after saying that, his eyes grew cold.

"I've been hesitating. I was really shocked by what they did that night. I've been wondering if I should

tell you."

Wendy knew Brian will ask her such a question, so she had got and the answer in advance.

Wendy continued.

"Brian, Winwin and I were not on good terms before, as you know. I was thinking, if I told you, you

would think it was my chance to get back at her. So I didn't tell you."

"I have decided to tell you now, because I can no longer keep it in my mind. I can't watch you in the

dark. I'm not sure what happened to them, but I think it was a thoughtless thing for Winwin."

"If anyone takes a picture of that, if anyone knows about your relationship, it will be a terrible blow to

your reputation even if nothing big happens."

Wendy gave a perfect explanation, saying her starting point was for Brian's good.

"So should I thank you for telling me so that I can be prepared?"

Brian said in cold voice, not because of Wendy's answer, but because of the blow to his reputation in

Wendy's mouth.

The meaning of Wendy's words was so obvious that he had to take them to heart.

"Brian..."

"Get out of here, pretend you didn't see it, and don't talk nonsense if you have no proof."

Wendy wanted to say more, but Brian did not feel necessary to hear it, so he asked her to leave.

"Ok, then."

Wendy left in fear.

Although it did not have the effect she expected, she believed that Brian would take it to heart.

After Wendy left, Brian's face changed, and then he clenched his fists.

Winnie was abnormal these two days. She secretly answered the phone and went home on every

weekend.

Now there was the fact that she and Stefan got a room. There was no proof that they did anything, but

no one could prove that they were innocent.

No, don't be fantasizing. Winwin was not that kind of person, she would not betray him.

Brain banged his head to sober himself up.

That night Vanessa said her sister had gone home, he could not just listen to Wendy’s one-sided

words. He must not wrong Winnie before he found out the truth.

At that thought, he felt better, but he had told Albert to check it out.

When he was lying in bed, he was still thinking about it. It was really irritable to think about it.

"Winwin, I forgot to ask you, did you get caught in the rain that night?"

Brian asked tentatively.

“Which night?”

Winnie went to the bed with doubts.

"The day I met Gloria on a business trip. I called Vanessa and she said it was raining and you hadn't

come back yet. I was worried about you."

Brian mentioned that day, but it was Winnie’s gloomy day, speaking of it, she felt upset and heartache.

She couldn't figure out why Brian asked about it.

"No, I got home after walking outside for a while."

"You did not ask me till now. You do care about me."

Winnie said sarcastically and walked to the dressing table to put on hand cream.

Winnie wanted to forget what happened that day, forget everything, but Brian brought it up. It was not

concern, it just hurt her heart.

Since so, Winnie gave a perfunctory answer.

Winnie gave the same answer as Vanessa, but Brian still had doubts, but he did not continue to ask.

Albert would have the result tomorrow, and he would know why was lying.

After thinking about it for a day, Brian now believed Wendy.

He felt Wendy would not talk nonsense on this term. Even if she was stupid, she knew he could find out

the truth. Every hotel had surveillance, if Winnie and Stefan could not be found, her lie would be

exposed. And Wendy should know the consequences if her lie was exposed.

So, what Wendy said was probably true.

The next morning, soon after he got to work, Albert brought the surveillance video from XX Hotel.

"Mr. Bennet, Stefan and Winnie did get a room in this hotel. These videos were of them arriving at the

hotel. See for yourself."

Albert thought it was serious, but he didn't believe Winnie was such a person.

Brian took the USB flash drive and connected it to the computer and began to watch it.

Two people came to the hotel together and came to a room. Winnie was drunk and even needed

Stefan to help her walk.

At this, Brian began to play it fast. It was true that Stefan did not come out for a night. In the morning,

Stefan came out for a while and then went back. It took about forty minutes for the two of them to come

out together.

After watching the entire video, Brian got a gloomy face.

He clenched his fists and could not conceal his solemnity, but his mind was a blank.

Wendy did not lie, it was truth, so Winnie hid the fact. To make it more true, Vanessa lied with her.

"Ask Winnie to the rooftop."

Brian issued an order in an angry tone, and Albert spoke at this moment.

"Calm down, Mr. Bennet, watch carefully the video. I don't believe Winnie would betray you. Maybe she

was drunk, and Stefan..."

Before he could finish speaking, Brian interrupted him angrily.

"Go and get her. Don't give her any hints."

Brian said angrily, and then went to the elevator.

Albert did not dare to hesitate and had to go out to get Winnie.

Albert did not dare to hesitate and had to go out to get Winnie.
