Chapter 739 Love and Hate Erased

Brian returned to the bedroom in frustration. Luke worked so hard to help him with hope for the

opportunity, but he still missed it.

Luke was disappointed, so was he. If he kept missing the opportunity, she might not have Winnie's

forgiveness till he died.

The phone rang. He picked up the phone with a frown. Seeing that it was Winnie, he got immediately

excited.

"Winwin."

Brian was excited because it was the first time Winnie called him during this period of time.

"Are you free? If you are, let's meet."

Winnie was in no mood for small talk and got straight to the point.

"Yes, Where do we meet?"

At this moment, even if there was most important thing, Brian must put it aside and could not miss the

opportunity again.

"Go to the hilltop villa. I'll go there now."

Brian was stunned hearing that. Winnie did not like that place, why she chose that place to meet?

"Yes, I will be there."

Brian put down the phone and ran out quickly. He didn't have time to tell the kids or to his father.

When Brian arrived at the villa, Winnie was already there. Winnie had the key, so she had sat on the

sofa in the living room.

Brian got off the car and ran in. He froze when he saw Winnie.

"You have your hair cut?"

Brian asked. He had not seen Winnie for so long and he did not know she had had her hair cut.

Although he liked Winnie's long hair, Winnie was still beautiful with her short hair.

"Oh, I am tired of having long hair, so I have it cut, so that I have different mood."

"Come and sit down. It's time we have chat."

Winnie said softly, without anger, hate, or grievance.

She could not forgive Brian, but she had to pretend to be as if nothing had happened, to pretend to let

go of everything.

Brian was inexplicable panic to hear the reason she had had her hair cut. Her nonchalant tone made

Brian nervous. He felt something was wrong, she should be angry, and blame him.

But why was she calm?

Brian stepped toward to Winnie, only to see the remote control of the villa door, the remote control of

the garage door and the spare key of the back door of the villa on the coffee table, when he passed by.

He gave these to Winnie. Winnie used to put them in her bag, so as not to forget it.

But today she put them on the coffee table. Why? What on earth did she mean?

Brian sat down on the sofa with uneasiness and doubt.

"Winwin, these days..."

"You wanted to apologize to me, right? Now I'm giving you a chance."

Winnie interrupted the words of Brian. She had to catch up with the flight, and she had not time for

extra words.

"Yes, I did. Winwin, thank you for giving me this opportunity."

Brian felt more and more uneasy. Winnie was so quiet that he was inexplicably panic. He felt she was

saying goodbye instead of giving him chance to explain.

"Winwin, it was all my fault. I was too selfish and I had not considered your feelings. I threw tantrums

without making sense of things. Don't be angry. Forgive me. I promise it will be the last time I made it."

"If you still feel wronged, you can scold me, you can hit me, you can do whatever you want, as long as

you're not angry, as long as you forgive me.”

Brian's attitude was sincere. But Winnie still could not calm down.

Brian's apology was unchanged, Winnie had heard it for many times. But she did not hear the point she

wanted to hear, and Brian did not say what he had done wrong.

Misunderstanding was trivial. It would be fine if it had been made clear. The point was that he did not

trust her and did not take her seriously.

Winnie sighed. Forget it, since she had made up her mind to give up everything, since two people had

no relationship, the apology had no essential significance.

"I don't blame you. I forgive you. I didn't understand some time ago, it is my fault. Everyone makes

mistakes. I'm putting you on the spot a little bit."

Winnie said politely, they were like two strangers bumped into each other in apology. Such an attitude

left Brian at a loss.

"Don't talk like that. It's my fault, it's my..."

"Mr. Bennet, I've forgiven you, so stop apologizing."

Winnie gave a bitter smile and immediately interrupted the words of Brian.

"Let's talk this through today, and we will have nothing to do with each other. You're still the father of

the kids, and I'm still the mother. We'll wipe the slate clean and just be friends."

Winnie said and stood up. Whether it was true or against her heart, she did a good job today and

solved the problem quietly.

"Winwin..."

"I forgot to return the key to you last time, take it and I'll go."

He looked at the key on the coffee table, but did not dare to look up at Brian. She was afraid to be said

and reluctant to leave.

She wanted to let herself be indifferent, let herself be careless, let herself forget everything here.

Winnie walked toward the outside, but Brian blocked in front of Winnie.

"Winwin, I apologize and I admit I was wrong. What I did was not for wiping the slate clean. Give me

one more chance to chase you. I promise to treat you with all my heart this time."

Brian tried to ask her to stay, and said his mind out.

He had planned to ask Winnie's forgiveness first before he pursued Winnie, and he would give her a

romantic love.

But Winnie was too cam today, which made him flustered, impatient and he dare not wait.

And her forgiveness was so perfunctory. She didn't forgive him, she still was disappointed.

She just wanted to stay away from him.

"What you want, Mr. Bennet? We broke up more than four months ago, and you have nothing to do

with me."

Winnie said indifferently. She did not want what he wanted, but she was clear what she wanted.

"Go to others for what you want, Mr. Bennet, and the last thing I want to do right now is go back to

where I was. It is over."

Winnie showed her attitude firmly.

She asked Brian to the villa, was to put everything to the end. When she walked out of the house,

everything between her and Brian was a thing of the past.

"Winwin, I like you, I love you, how can I go to others? I know you're disappointed in me. I know you're

hurt. But please give me one more chance. I'll make it up to you."

Brian said. He felt if Winnie left, they could not meet again.

"It's too late for you to say that. You like me, but I don't like you anymore. I have successfully forgotten

about you in more than four months. I am going to start looking for happiness again and I will never

look back."

"Mr. Bennet, start looking for your happiness. I hope you meet the right person. Good-bye!"

Winnie finished and bypassed Brian.

At that moment she knew what was not sincere, what was painful.

She said words against her heart, but she pretend as if nothing had happened, this was probably the

most difficult role to play in her life.

Brian followed behind Winnie. Winnie heard Brian calling her, but she was determined to give up and

pretended she did not hear him.

Winnie got in the car and locked the car door, then she started the car.

Brian patted the window, called Winnie, fighting for the opportunity. Winnie turned a blind eye to him.

She told herself there was nothing but air outside the window. There were no strange noises except

cicadas and the sound of the breeze.

With her foot on the accelerator, the car quickly drove out.

Brian stood there regretfully and kept walking up and down. He knew Winnie did not forgive him, know

that his efforts were not enough, but he felt he had no chance now.

She said she didn't like him anymore, she said she had forgotten him, and she said she wanted to

pursue happiness again. Did she really forget him? Did she really give him no chance?

Winnie left the hilltop villa and went directly to the airport. When she arrived at the airport, she

immediately checked her ticket and went to the departure hall. It had about half an hour to go before

boarding the plane.

Brian walked back and forth in the courtyard of the villa. He was upset and worried about Winnie. Since

Winnie left here, there was no point in him staying. He got in the car and drove away.

When he got to the foot of the mountain, he remembered that he had left his mobile phone at the villa.

So he went back to get his phone.

When he was back to the living room, he saw his phone placed on the coffee table. Brian picked up the

phone and found his bodyguard gave him a lot of calls.

He became nervous and thought Winnie had a problem. Almost immediately, he called back.

"What is it? Is it Director Chambers?

"Mr. Bennet, what bothered you to answer the phone? Director Chambers went to the airport from your

place and she has gone now."
