Beatrice stormed into the house, heading straight for the bedroom,
A bunch of paparazzi followed, cameras in hand.
The bedroom was dark, but as the door swung open, there were sounds of a woman’s moans and a
man’s grunts.
Beatrice was secretly thrilled. She didn’t expect to catch them red–handed.
She quickly turned on the lights, and the people inside seemed startled by the noise.
As the room lit up, it was clear there was a couple in the middle of a steamy session.
Frightened, they reflexively covered themselves up. The room was a mess, with adult toys scattered

But Beatrice froze, struck dumb as if by lightning.
Because the woman on the bed wasn’t Agnes.

How could you?! Dad’s in the hospital, and who’s this stranger?! Who the hell is he?”
Laura quickly tried to explain, “Beatrice, let me explain!!”
Just then, the paparazzi barged in.
They started snapping away at the couple on the bed, the room lit up by camera flashes.
Laura, humiliated and angry, shouted, “Get out, all of you get out!”
Beatrice came to her senses and turned to shield Laura, yelling at the paparazzi, “Who the hell sent
you here?! How dare you set me up!! Stop taking pictures, did you hear me, stop!!”
The man had gotten up, wrapped in a sheet, looking furious. He demanded of Laura, “What the hell is
going on, Laura?”
Pointing at Beatrice, he said, “This is your precious daughter?”
“Berlin, let me explain, it’s not what you think.”
But Berlin brushed off Laura, picking up his clothes from the floor and going into the adjacent room to
dress.
He then strode over to Laura, glanced at everyone, “Clean up this mess, Laura. I don’t want to see any
unpleasant headlines tomorrow.”
Laura quickly reassured him, “Don’t worry, there won’t be any such news.”
Berlin snorted and left the room, looking pissed.
Berlin was infamous in their social circle, a well–known playboy.
Every now and then, he’d make headlines in the entertainment section.
But Laura couldn’t just let her reputation take a hit.
Furious, Laura pointed at the paparazzi, “Who the hell are you, who sent you to ruin me?”
The paparazzi stayed silent, lining up on either side of the room.
“Ms. Laura, it was me.”
A clear, calm voice came from the door.
Agnes walked into the room, taking her time.
Laura was rarely seen losing her cool, “It’s you, you bitch, you dare to set me up?”
Agnes walked up to Laura with a nonchalant expression, “Ms. Laura, mind your image. I guess you
wouldn’t want to see yourself portrayed as an irrational woman in the newspapers tomorrow. Yes, you
cheated, but at least your lover is a man of status. We can’t let people laugh at Mr. Berlin for choosing
a vulgar and unpleasant woman.”
Laura was left speechless.
Beatrice finally realized that this was all part of Agnes‘ plan.
She deliberately set her up to expose Laura’s scandal!
No wonder she made her sign that responsibility agreement, ensuring that she would take the blame if
anything went wrong!
