When they reached Wavesong Villa, Jared carried the kid out of the car.
The little guy was sleeping like a log, didn’t wake up when Jared picked him up.
Leo happened to come in to report.
Seeing Jared carrying a kid, he was taken aback.
Leo asked, “Who’s the kid?”
Jared simply replied, “No clue,” and headed upstairs with the kid.
Leo’s jaw dropped, thinking, “Wasn’t the boss at the Imperial Hotel today? How did he end up bringing
a kid home? The kid’s dressed fancy, where did he come from. Does the boss know kidnapping is
illegal?”
Though he thought this, Leo followed and offered, “Boss, you must be tired. Let me take the kid up.”
Jared shook his head, “I got it.”
Then he continued upstairs with the kid.
Finally, he laid the kid down on his own bed.
The kid was sleeping soundly, didn’t look like he was gonna wake up anytime sooner.
Jared found it odd, he gave the kid a little shake.
But the kid just kept sleeping.
