The door was pushed open with a bang, and a group of people in black barged in. One of the men saw
Viola collapse on the bar counter, and his face turned dark instantly.
“Viola!”
“Wesley?” Brittany didn’t expect Wesley to show up. She instinctively wanted to protect Viola but was
stopped by a bodyguard, “Ms. Dustin, I wouldn’t if I were you.”
The bodyguard was a hulk, and Brittany was no match for him. She could only watch helplessly as
Wesley picked up Viola. “Wesley, what are you trying to pull? You and Viola are over.”
What’s Wesley up to?
She was already married, and he was still clinging? If Bruce found out, it would have been trouble.
“Brittany?” It was as if Wesley had just noticed her. He snorted, “You and Viola being chummy, I don’t
mind. But don’t meddle, or I won’t hold back.”
“Wesley, she’s married now.” Brittany tried to reason with him, “You’re playing the third wheel; it’s not
right.”
“So what?” Wesley sneered, “If I want to do something, I’ll do it.”
Carrying Viola, he left.
Brittany shook off the bodyguard and tried to follow.
“Brittany, you wouldn’t want Zac on your tail, would you?” Wesley halted, looked back at Brittany with a
cold gaze, and said, “Believe it or not, one phone call and you won’t fare any better than her.”
Brittany’s heart skipped a beat. She glared at Wesley. They used to be partners, and he had never
talked to her like that.
What was he up to?
Missed Viola after the breakup? What was he doing before then?
Worried, Brittany couldn’t help herself.
She pulled out her phone and dialed a familiar number. It was Isaac’s.
Wesley seemed tough to deal with, and Viola had too much to drink. If anything happened, she’d be
responsible too.
The call was answered quickly, “Hello?”
A female voice.
It was Joie.
They were still together this late?
Remembering what Joie had said, Brittany hung up. She had been so naive.
Isaac and Wesley were buddies. How could he possibly help Viola?
Remembering she had Viola’s phone, she called Bruce and said, “Mr. Bruce, Viola was taken by
Wesley. You have to find her asap.”
After hanging up, Brittany took drunken Hannah back to her home.
After leaving the Chester’s, she drove home, Wesley’s face flashing in her mind. She couldn’t help
worrying about what he might do to Viola.
Just as she got home, Viola called.
The other end was quiet. She sounded sober, briefly telling Brittany she had left and not to worry.
“Viola, Wesley didn’t do anything to you, did he?”
“No.” Viola smiled, saying, “It’s late; get some rest. Let’s catch up some other day.”
After hanging up, Viola got up from the bed. Her clothes were torn and couldn’t be worn anymore.
Wesley was shameless, even taking advantage of a drunk!
The more she thought about it, the angrier Viola got. She gave Wesley a swift kick, causing him to
wince and clutch her hand, “Why are you kicking me? We’re not done, and besides, it’s not like this
hasn’t happened before…”
