To Clarify or Not To Clarify
The person who arrived was Wilson.
Freya was slightly startled.
Wilson’s face was filled with admiration. “Mr. Monaghan, how about we have a chat? I would like to be
friends with you.”
With that, he turned to Freya beside him, smiling warmly.
“Miss Kaufmann, my wife is on the second floor. She just arrived in Florin and hasn’t adjusted yet.
Could you please accompany her for a chat?”
Wilson’s invitation was almost like getting half of an entry ticket.
Freya pursed her lips. What kind of misunderstanding is this?
Wilson mistakenly thought that she and Radley were husband and wife, and everything that happened.
just now was her husband protecting his wife.
Thinking about the information regarding Wilson’s doting personality towards his wife, Freya felt it was
somewhat absurd.
To clarify or not to clarify?
If she didn’t clarify, rumors about her and Radley would inevitably spread widely in Caltun for a long
time.
But if she clarified, it might jeopardize the business deal.
In the midst of chaos, Freya gritted her teeth.
Well, she already had her fair share of scandals; she even had some rumors with Matthew before.
Let others spread whatever they want. But Wilson’s business deal must not be lost.
Otherwise, it would be a big threat to the Monaghan Group and the Kaufmann Group if it fell into
someone else’s hands.
Freya smiled and said, “Alright, but my Iternian is not very good. I hope that she will not laugh at me.”
“No worries, her Florin isn’t very good either,” Wilson chuckled.
Radley and Freya were led to the second floor.
In the hall, everyone looked at the backs of the three people, some were happy and some were
worried.
“As expected, this business deal will end up in the hands of these two families.”
“These two families are teaming up, what chance do we have? I never had much hope from the
beginning.”
Among the crowd, only Stella stood still.
She clenched her hands, feeling a sense of panic.
What should I do?
A few years ago when her family was driven out of Caltun by Braxton, her father almost beat her to
death, accusing her of bringing calamity to the family.
Recently, the Williams had been doing well in Capitael, and her father had gradually forgotten about
that incident.
But today, Radley said that the Williams should leave Capitael too.
Stella trembled slightly, trying to calm herself down.
No, the Monaghan Group was just a hegemon in Caltun. How could they possibly extend their
influence. to Capital?
People passing by looked at Stella with disdain.
Clearly born into a wealthy family, but her behavior lacked manners.
The Williams must have done something wrong in their past lives to have such a daughter, a debt
collector.
Stella came back to Caltun this time to celebrate her best friend’s birthday.
She immediately looked towards the crowd, searching for her friend who brought her here.
Her friend was being held tightly by her parents.
“Don’t you dare have any contact with that idiot anymore!”
“It’s a good thing Radley didn’t ask who brought her here today; otherwise, our family would be
implicated too!”
Stella overheard some people whispering.
“Stay away from her. What if she overhears?”
“It’s fine; her family is done for.”
On the second floor of Ronald Castle.
Radley and Freya were personally led by Wilson to the small reception hall on the second floor.
“My wife might still be sleeping, let me go and call her. He smiled indulgently and apologetically.
Shortly after, Wilson brought his wife to the reception hall.
Wilson’s wife, Amy, was very beautiful and looked even younger than him.
Freya and Amy chatted for a while.
Sitting in the private reception room, the four of them didn’t mention business at all.
They discussed some unique products and local delicacies of Caltun, as well as some famous dishes.
“I want to try that thing called tofu pudding.” Amy listened with great interest and looked at Freya. “Miss
Freya, if you have time these days, can you take me to try these delicacies?”
Freya smiled and agreed to a time with Amy.
Today was supposed to host a seminar.
But now all the guests at Ronald Manor knew that the seminar was no longer necessary. Wilson had
chosen his desired partner.
However, they still needed to go through the motions.
After a while, Wilson and Radley excused themselves to go downstairs to attend the seminar.
Freya wasn’t interested, and Amy was enthusiastic, so she stayed on the second floor to chat.
At eight o’clock in the evening, Freya and Radley left Ronald Manor.
“How did your conversation with Mr. Wilson go?” Freya asked in a low voice while they got into the car.
Radley’s voice was cold. “Wilson is still considering, but I think as long as nothing changes, this,
partnership should work out, and then we’ll move on to the negotiation phase.”
Freya breathed a sigh of relief and leaned against the back of the passenger seat, giving Radley a
sideways glance.
“That’s good; at least it’s not in vain for me to bear the cost of my reputation.”
Radley drove without saying a word.
The more Freya thought about it, the angrier she became, but she also understood that his original
intention was to help her, and they might have a chance to cooperate with the Iternia’s royal family
because of this matter.
“How troublesome.” Freya scratched her head irritably.
She could already imagine that by tomorrow, her relationship with Radley would be known to the
aristocratic families in Caltun.
What would her mother’s reaction be, and how would she explain it to her brother?
Freya sighed helplessly.
Radley drove the car, his gaze calmly fixed on the road ahead.
Because he was carrying the most important person in his life in the car, he drove more cautiously than
usual.
“Is this not acceptable? Having a father in name is essential for a child, as it safeguards us from
unnecessary rumors,” Radley remarked.
Freya frowned. “My baby doesn’t need a father in name; having me as the mother is enough.”
What father in name?
Radley was the biological father of this child.
To Clarify or Not To Clarify
Unexpectedly, they ended up going in circles.
Freya sighed deeply. Well, as long as Radley didn’t find out that the baby was his, it would be fine.
When the car was about to reach the Kaufmanns’ Residence, Freya’s phone rang.
She glanced at it and saw that it was a call from her brother, Braxton.
Freya sighed inwardly, knowing that her brother must be calling about something.
She felt a little guilty.
Thinking of explaining everything to Braxton when she got home, she reached out and hung up the call.
But not two seconds later, the phone rang again.
Freya directly replied with a text message, ‘Brax, wait for me to come home and explain to you.”
Soon, Braxton’s reply came.
‘Did you just tell Radley about the child without discussing it with me and Mom in advance?”
Freya could feel Braxton’s anger through the text message.
She glanced at Radley beside her and replied discreetly,
‘I didn’t tell him. Let’s talk about it in detail when I get home.”
