After the wedding ended, Jenny and Alec saw everyone off and thanked them for being there on their
big day. After that was done, they instructed their driver to take them back.
Alec was so exhausted in the car that he slumped heavily against Jenny’s shoulder. Nevertheless,
there was still a smile on his lips as he suddenly said, “Wifey.”
Jenny was taken aback for a moment when he addressed her like that.
“My wife,” Alec spoke up again, opening his eyes and looking intently at Jenny beside him. “I love you.”
Jenny was someone who didn’t handle romantic gestures well. When Alec said he loved her, it didn’t
evoke the warm, mushy feeling that it should. On the contrary, it made her hair stand on end, and she
even had goosebumps.
“You’re drunk. Go back and get some rest,” Jenny replied, allowing Alec to continue leaning on her to
rest.
But resting wasn’t exactly at the forefront of his list of priorities right now. Holding Jenny’s hand fondly,
he said, “Tonight is our wedding night. How can I rest?”
Jenny was a little speechless at this.
“It’s not that big of a deal, is it? It’s not like this is our first day living together.” In fact, they’d been
cohabiting for a long time, and they’d already stayed countless nights in their wedding suite. For Jenny,
the only difference that day was that they held a wedding ceremony. Besides that, there wasn’t much
difference from before.
Not caring how she put it, Alec insisted on his desire. Not long after that, the car pulled up in front of
their villa, and Jenny supported Alec as they made their way to their room.
As soon as they stepped into the bedroom, Alec took control in a flash and lifted Jenny off the ground
into his arms. “It’s getting late, Jenny. We should get some rest.”
Blushing intensely, Jenny let out a little yelp of surprise and scolded,” You’re incorrigible.”
“I’m your husband. If I were still all proper and unfazed in this situation, then something is not right.”
Without wasting a minute, Alec carried Jenny to bed.
Moonlight streamed through the windows into the room, casting the shadow of the newlyweds’
intertwined and entangled bodies on the floor; it was both magical and intoxicating. The passion and
romance in the room went on until the early hours of the morning.
The next day, Jenny woke up early in the morning. They’d made plans to celebrate their marriage with
their close friends that day.
Just as she tried to get up from the bed, pain and soreness coursed through her whole body, rendering
it impossible for her to get up. Irritably, she glanced at the person lying next to her.
“It’s so early. Let’s sleep a while more.” Alec reached out and pulled her into his embrace.
“No way. Steph and the others will arrive soon.’ Jenny pushed him away. It was evident she wasn’t
going to continue lazing in bed.
Upon hearing her words, Alec remembered that he’d invited Paul and the others to come over. Their
friends hadn’t been to their marital home yet, so Alec intended to show everyone around their new
place as a form of celebration. Therefore, even though he and Jenny were reluctant to leave the warm
confines of their bed, they somehow got up with determination.
Jenny instructed the household staff and chefs to start preparing lunch. Because many people were
coming, Jenny and Alec settled on having a barbeque so everyone could join in on the fun. On top of
that, it wouldn’t be so boring.
Around 11 am, the first person to arrive wasn’t Stephanie or Paul but Old Mr. Faust. He didn’t return to
the house with Alec and Jenny the previous night. Instead, he stayed at the hotel where they had their
wedding. He didn’t want to be in the young couple’s way on their first night as husband and wife.
“Grandpa,” Jenny greeted, feeling a little bashful upon seeing the old man.
Old Mr. Faust cleared his throat and pretended not to notice Jenny’s apparent embarrassment. “Where
is Alec? Why are you the only one busying yourself here?”
“He’s upstairs,’ Jenny answered.
As they were talking, Alec came downstairs and greeted his grandfather.
Just a while later, Stephanie and their friends arrived. There was Paul and Melanie, Jade and Max, and
several others they considered close friends. The villa suddenly became lively. With everyone helping
and doing their part, the food was ready quickly.
“You must be very pleased right now, Alec,” Max teased as he approached Alec playfully. After all, Alec
finally got to marry Jenny. He could imagine Alec being on cloud nine at that moment.
