Getting Close For The First Time This time, without being disturbed by anyone, Rosalie went through
the treatment process much more smoothly.
Soon, there were 10 silver needles inserted in the front of the old master‘s head.
Rosalie practically did not blink during the process as she devoted herself to the old master‘s treatment
intently. Byron had already looked through Rosalie‘s experience from these past years back when they
were downstairs. It was beautifully impeccable. One could imagine how exciting her life had been in the
past six years. This was still, however, the first time that he saw her like this. For the first time, he saw
her concentration when she was practicing medicine and her toughness when addressing her
profession. These were not things he had seen on Rosalie before. Seeing these today, Byron‘s
emotions were somewhat difficult to put into words. To one side, Andrius had been observing the
positions of Rosalie‘s needles as well as her expression when she put them in. With the dozens of
silver needles positioned, he was pleasantly surprised to realize that this doctor might actually be able
to save the old master!
When she inserted the first needle, Andrius thought the same as everyone present. He thought that it
was absurd.
However, recalling Rosalie‘s expression when she put in the needle at that time, there was an
inexplicable feeling that she could be trusted.
Hence, Andrius insisted on letting her remain.
At present, watching Rosalie‘s unhurried appearance and her skillful and sophisticated skills when
inserting every needle, he affirmed that she was somewhat of a real deal!
Moreover, he noticed that Rosalie‘s needles were almost all in very dangerous places. If there was
even the slightest mistake, not only would their previous efforts be wasted, but the old master might
even lose his life!
He believed that Rosalie likely would not have the balls to risk the old master‘s life.
In other words, her research on acupuncture and acupoints was really rock–solid! Thinking of this,
Andrius was happy while simultaneously feeling admiration for Rosalie from the bottom of his heart.
It looked like the woman was younger than him, yet she already possessed such great ability and
should not be taken lightly. There was silence in the room.
After nearly 20 minutes, Rosalie pierced the last silver needle with a forehead full of cold sweat before
a relaxed expression appeared on her face. “All done. Just let the old master rely on these. After an
hour, we’ll remove the needles.” She looked up and glanced at the two people beside the bed. Andrius
heaved a long sigh of relief. He carefully leaned the old master against the head of the bed and asked,
“When is my grandpa likely to wake up?” “He should wake up after we remove all the needles.”
Rosalie got up, wanting to wipe away her sweat with a tissue.
Just as she reached out to the tissue box, the corners of her clothes were carefully pulled. Rosalie
paused and looked down puzzled before facing Estie‘s bright eyes.
Despite knowing that this was Byron‘s child with someone else, Rosalie was unable to be completely
ruthless when she saw that cute, angel–like face. Seeing her looking over, Estie lowered her head and
took out a small, neatly folded handkerchief from her pocket. She held it up in front of her on her
tiptoes, her eyes filled with expectation.
Rosalie hesitated for a few seconds but still smiled at her. “Thank you.” With that, she reached out and
took the handkerchief from the little girl‘s hand. Estie smiled happily, her eyes in crescents before she
turned around to pour her some water.
At the side, Byron watched Estie in silence as she walked about eagerly. His gaze darkened. This was
the first time the little girl had taken the initiative to get close to a person like this.
However… thinking of their relationship, Byron figured it only made sense. Andrius was not aware of
the inside story and was surprised. “Dr. Jacobs, it seems that our Estie likes you very much. This is the
first time I’ve seen Estie getting close to someone!“
