At the Lawrence family’s manor.

After receiving the call from Mrs. Zora, Byron immediately put down his work, rushed back from the

company, and called Dr. Lucas Montgomery on the way.

Since her disappearance that time, Estie’s mental state had been very unstable. He must pay her

special attention.

Seeing the two of them enter the door, Mrs. Zora hurriedly greeted them.

“Where’s Estie?” Byron frowned and glanced at the living room but did not see the little girl.

Mrs. Zora pointed upstairs. “She went upstairs by herself after she came back. It seems that she’s in a

very bad mood. No matter what I say, she just ignores me. I could only ask you to come home.”

Hearing this, Byron nodded lightly and led Lucas upstairs. 1

The little girl’s door was locked tight, and there was no movement inside.

Byron’s heart sank as he knocked on the door lightly. “Estie, darling, Daddy’s back. Can you open the

door and let me in?”

After a long while, there was still no movement inside. There was no sign of the door opening.

Byron looked back at Lucas.

The little girl came back alone, which was nothing to worry about.

The only thing to worry about was her current mental state.

He was afraid that his daughter would completely shut herself down like the last time.

Lucas also frowned.

He has been a psychiatrist for the little girl for so many years. Although the little girl’s condition had not

improved much, such a situation was really rare.

After the two men hesitated for a while, Byron instructed Mrs. Zora, “Please go and get the keys here. II

Mrs. Zora responded and was about to get the keys when the door to the little girl’s bedroom suddenly

opened.

Seeing this, the three of them breathed a sigh of relief.

“What happened? Why did you come back alone?” Byron leaned over and looked at the little girl’s face.

Little Estie shook her head sadly, reluctant to speak.

Seeing that the little girl still reacted to his words, he relented and patted her small head. “It’s okay if

you don’t want to say. If you’re in a bad mood, just rest for a while. I’ll call you down for dinner later.”

The little girl nodded obediently.

Watching her enter the door, Byron added, “Don’t lock the door, alright?”

The little girl agreed.

As Estie’s door shut in front of them, Byron got up and led Lucas into the study.

“What do you think of Estie’s current situation?”

The two sat down facing each other across a desk. Lucas had been observing Little Estie just now.

Seeing that her state was no different from before, he nodded and said, “It’s still the same. Maybe only

certain people can help make her situation better.”

Byron knew very well the person Lucas was referring to.

“My suggestion is to let Estie have more contact with Miss Jacobs, with some time, she may recover

completely,” Lucas suggested in a deep voice.

As he spoke, Lucas noticed Byron’s expression was a little tense. This puzzled him. “Why? Will that be

a problem?”

Byron furrowed his brows. “That might not be a feasible solution.”

He knew for sure that Estie’s condition would get better whenever she was with Rosalie.

In this short period, letting Estie stay with Rosalie would be harder than reaching for the stars due to

Rosalie’s rejection of him.

Lucas frowned regretfully. “In this case, the only person Estie trusts most is you. You should pay more

attention to her psychological state. As usual, feel free to contact me if there’s anything you need.”

Byron just nodded.
