Nicolas smirked, thinking it was her calling out that startled him. “What’s up?”

had to swallow her pride.
“Mr Francis, are you close with Dr Ledford?”
“We’re pretty tight, I guess. Why?”
Trisha’s eyes narrowed playfully, “I need a favour. Can you help me pursue Dr Ledford? If you help me
win them over, I’ll never speak of what happened that night for the rest of my life. But if you don’t.”
Nicolas chuckled at her half–threatening and half–pleading attitude, asking. “So what if I don’t help?”
