“It wasn’t for her,” Steven said gently, “just happened to give Ms Campbell a ride on my way back, and
she got me a portion of grilled meat when she bought some.”
Hiram asked, “Does Ms Campbell like pork knuckle rice?”
“Seems like it.”
Hiram smiled and whispered, “Your mom also liked grilled meat. Our family and Ms Campbell are quite
destined”
Steven smiled faintly, “Yes, quite destined. I’m sure you’ll like her when you meet her tomorrow,”
Clair “Who do you like, Steven?”
As they spoke, Clair came downstairs.
She wore a beige cotton dress with a high ponytail and slippers.
