"Yes!"
Henry blurted but soon found it strange and rephrased his words, "No, that’s not what I meant. You
were the one who created the poisonous candles, so how would anyone have that? He just told me
things such as you were disrespectful to Grandpa..."
"You said he gave you evidence earlier, didn’t you?" Lily interjected and pressured him.
"Why are you saying a different thing now?"
Henry was dumbfounded.
"Well then!"
Lily took a deep breath and thundered, "The chaos ends now!"
She raised her head, eyes closed, looking like she was meditating.
Then she turned to face Henry.
"Since you insist on saying I was the one who poisoned Grandpa, I'll first prove to you that there’s no
possible way I could've done it!"
"How are you going to do that?" Henry asked subconsciously.
Lily smiled at him and took a few steps closer.
"Uncle Henry, does the perfume I use today smell nice?"
With the question that came out of nowhere, Henry subconsciously sniffed but realized something was
amiss upon seeing the smile on her face.He quickly held his breath and questioned her angrily, "What
are you trying to do?"
"There’s no need for you to be nervous.I can’t possibly poison you so openly when there are so many
people around, can I?"
Lily smiled, looking innocent.
That made sense, but Henry was still wary of her, keeping his distance and not daring to breathe.
"Just get straight to the point. Why are you being so mysterious?"
Lily stared into his eyes, grinning.
"Look. You don’t even have the guts to come closer to me and sniff my perfume.Since I'm capable of
putting poison in my perfume, why would I waste so much time to create so many poisonous candles
as to leave evidence for you? Do I look that dumb to you?"
"You couldn’t use the most harmful type of poison in one setting because you feared it would make
things too obvious. If I hadn’t returned in time and noticed that something was off, you would’ve tricked
us all.Everyone would’ve thought Dad died because of old age and illness,"
Henry retorted, the gears in his mind turning quickly.
The surrounding elders found his accusation reasonable and faced a dilemma about who to trust.
"Oh right, chronic poisoning!"
Nodding, Lily continued, "You mean to say I’ve added a small amount of chronic poison into the
candles, and it finally worked after weeks or months?"
While saying that, Lily circled Jonathan and Henry.
Jonathan, probably influenced by Henry, subconsciously covered his nose, afraid of sniffing anything
lethal.
‘I regret letting her come so close to me.What if she did put poison in her perfume?’
"That's enough!"
Henry waved his hand abruptly.
"Stop toying with everyone! Stop with all your nonsense! Now that we have all the evidence, it’s
pointless for you to deny it any longer!"
Then he grabbed Lily’s wrist and stared into her eyes, his eyes burning with fury.
That did not scare Lily. Her fingers moved while she locked gazes with Henry.
Suddenly, she smiled.
"You're going to get a headache by being so belligerent.Uncle Henry, are you dizzy now?"
Lily winked playfully.
Henry got confused upon hearing her mindless words and seeing her wink. However, the next second,
he became a little dizzy and felt his vision blur.
Although it was just a fleeting feeling, it was enough to make him panic and widen his eyes.
"What have you done?"
