“Of course, it's ten million!” Shaun replied, a cunning smile playing at the corners of his lips as he subtly
adjusted his spectacles on his nose.
“Ten million?” Kingsley widened his eyes in shock, unable to believe what he just heard.
Shaun flashed a mischievous grin but remained silent, prompting Kingsley to gaze at Oliver.
His heart couldn't handle the suspense. If the boy agreed to the amount, he felt like he might faint right
then and there.
Sporting an adorable smile, Oliver also adjusted his glasses. “How about ten percent of the amount?”
he proposed.
Kingsley's lips quivered, and his voice wavered as he repeated, “Ten percent of the amount? A
million?” in astonishment.
Oliver cast a glance at the man, anticipation dancing in his eyes. However, the boy's ensuing words
nearly pushed Kingsley to the brink of insanity. “It's a fantastic deal, Mr. Watts. I'm confident you can
handle it!”
Kingsley couldn't stop his cheeks from twitching in exasperation. No, I can't! This is daylight robbery!
“With six of us, and Grandpa included, there won't be much left,” the little boy explained.
A beat later, he added, “My daddy has quite the temper. So, do you want him to handle the matter, or
should I take care of it for you? Mr. Frank once told me that my daddy likes to banish people who
annoy him to deserted islands.”
Oliver skillfully exploited Kingsley's weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
Upon hearing those words, Kingsley quickly gave in. “All right. A million it is!” he conceded.
Accepting the million-dollar deal seemed like a much better option than facing the possibility of being
banished to a deserted island. I'll just have to work harder on the next project to make up for the
losses.
“Don't feel bad, Mr. Watts. I can help put in a good word for you with my daddy! I promise he won't
banish you to a deserted island.” Oliver beamed with joy, enjoying the playful exchange.
“Make sure you keep your promise! Let's hurry and find out if they're back in the ward so we can go
home,” Kingsley urged, eager to take the children back with him.
Oliver smiled at him with clear eyes, but Kingsley couldn't help but notice a glimmer of dollar signs
flashing within them.
The man was promptly rendered speechless. “Fine, I'll transfer the money to you right now!” he
conceded, not wanting to push his luck any further with the clever child.
Without hesitation, he took out his phone and transferred the money to Oliver.
Not only was Oliver delighted, but Gavin and the rest were also just as ecstatic.
Jasper suggested, “Let's treat Tim to a better meal!”
“Let's buy more snacks for Tim and Zachary!” Jesse chimed in with excitement, thrilled about their
newfound fortune.
With a smile directed at Kingsley, Oliver said, “Thank you, Mr. Watts. I'll make the call right away!”
He stepped aside and dialed Benjamin's number.
Benjamin was taken aback by the call since Oliver rarely reached out to him.
“Who's on the line?” Arissa asked, curious about the change in Benjamin's expression upon receiving
the call.
“Oliver!” Benjamin replied.
He then answered the call. “Yes, Oliver?”
“Daddy!” the boy exclaimed.
The use of the term “daddy” by Oliver deeply moved Benjamin, and he was not quite sure how to react
to that.
“Hey!” Benjamin replied.
Arissa glanced at him. Why did he become emotional all of a sudden? What did Oliver say to him?
Oliver's sweet and tender voice echoed through the phone, asking, “Daddy, are you and Mommy still at
the park?”
“Yes, we're still at the park. Is something wrong?” Benjamin said, looking over at Arissa. “I'm with your
mommy right now.”
“Feel free to enjoy your time with Mommy at the park. Don't worry about us!” Oliver cheerfully remarked
before hanging up the phone.
He then turned to everyone. “They're still at the park. Let's go home now!”
“Let's go!” Kingsley turned around, ready to lift Tim up in his arms.
“Wait! We're done with the IV drip yet...” Darius interjected, expressing concern for Tim.
Seeking reassurance from Shaun, Kingsley turned to him and inquired, “Don't worry. We'll complete the
jab at home. With the IV drip, Tim should be fine, right?”
“Yep. He's fine now!”
Feeling reassured by Shaun's words, they made their way back home with Tim, glad that he was safe
and well.
Meanwhile, Arissa couldn't help but look at Benjamin with curiosity as he appeared lost in thought even
after the call had ended. “Why are you so happy? What did Oliver say to you?” she asked.
Benjamin snapped back to reality, his excitement evident as he replied, “He just called me 'Daddy'.”
