“Mr. Graham, should I place the documents and laptop in your study or bedroom?” Ethen asked.

Even though his voice had rung out from the doorway, his figure was nowhere in sight. As it turned out,

he had deliberately stood clear of the door, careful not to intrude on Benjamin's privacy.

“Bring them in!” Benjamin ordered as he turned toward the door.

Realizing that the man wanted to work in the bedroom, Arissa spoke up. “Shouldn't you head to the

study instead? How can you work in the bedroom!”

With the documents and laptop still in his hands, Ethen suddenly froze when he heard Arissa's words.

Unsure if he should do as instructed, he stood at the door and watched the couple.

“It's convenient to work in the room,” Benjamin retorted before buttoning up his shirt and gesturing for

Ethen to enter.

“What? How is this convenient?” Arissa said incredulously. There isn't even a desk in the bedroom...

He'd have to sit on the couch to read his documents!

Upon hearing that, Benjamin glanced at her. “It'd be convenient for me to take care of you.”

A warm and fuzzy feeling instantly washed over Arissa. Despite that, she still wanted Benjamin to do

his work in the study.

“Since we're all at home, I'll call you if I need help. Besides, you tend to disturb my rest when you're on

your phone!” Arissa grumbled.

Benjamin shot another look at her. “Oh? So you find me annoying?”

Arissa laughed. “No, of course not. I don't want you to be distracted, and I can also enjoy a quiet rest.”

After much deliberation, Benjamin finally relented and turned to his assistant. “Ethen, take all these to

the study!”

Ethen had just set everything down, but now, he had to pick them up again and head to the study.

“Have a good rest, Mrs. Graham. I shan't disturb you further!”

Arissa hummed in acknowledgment as Benjamin sat down by the bed and held her hand. “Do you need

to use the bathroom?”

“You'd better run along and take care of your business!” the woman said smilingly with a shake of her

head.

“Give me a shout or call my phone if you need anything,” Benjamin reminded, gently squeezing her

fingers.

“I know. I'm at home, for goodness' sake. Of course, I'd shout for help if anything happened,” Arissa

replied coyly. “Go. Get on with your work, and don't worry about me!”

Even so, Benjamin accompanied her for a while before readying himself to attend to his work. Since he

had gone to bed early the night before and hadn't dealt with many documents in the morning, it was no

surprise that quite a bit of work had piled up.

The next second, Benjamin closed the door for Arissa and dropped one last reminder. “Don't get out of

bed on your own!”

“Got it!” Arissa reassured as she waved her hand. “I'll stay in bed!”

Upon seeing her lying comfortably in bed, Benjamin finally felt at ease enough to tackle his workload.

Meanwhile, Arissa rubbed the blanket and sniffed it. Not only were there no musty odors, but she could

also clearly pick up the comforting smell of sunshine.

Ah... It must've been either Edwin or Grandaunt who sunned the blanket earlier.

As Arissa basked in the comfort of being at home, a contented smile unknowingly spread across her

face.

It's true. There's no place like home.

It was unclear whether Benjamin had given specific instructions, but since Mary didn't once barge into

the room to nag at Arissa, the latter soon drifted off to sleep.

Over at school, Regan approached the children as soon as their classes ended, a friendly smile etched

on his face.

“Sweethearts, how about I take you guys out for a meal? Does that sound good?”

Unfortunately, none of the six children bought it and rolled their eyes in unison.

Regan didn't know their names, either, so after scrutinizing all six of them, he decided Tim would be his

best bet and smiled at him.

“Come on. I'll treat you guys to some delicious food. The restaurants outside are much better than your

school cafeteria.”

“Have you tried the food at our school?” Tim asked with a frown. After all, the food in their cafeteria was

by no means inferior and was even tastier than what one might find at some restaurants.

Regan naturally hadn't tried it before, so he offered a sheepish smile. “I've never had it, but you guys

must be tired of eating the same food daily, right?”

“Are you tired of eating at home?” Tim retorted.

Despite being taken aback by the sharp response, Regan continued coaxing his grandchildren to join

him for a meal outside, “Well... Let's go eat something different—”

“We're not going to eat with you,” Gavin suddenly interrupted as he glared at the elderly man. “I'll get

someone to throw you out if you don't stop badgering us!”
