Arissa's eyes glinted when she noticed that Benjamin was jealous of her.

Smiling, she beckoned. “Why are you standing there? Come over and have breakfast with us.”

“All right,” Benjamin replied before joining them.

The children sniggered at him. Daddy needed Mommy to specifically call for him before he would come

over. How childish of him! He's even worse than us.

When faced with the children's mocking gazes, Benjamin remained nonchalant. He did not feel a tad bit

embarrassed.

“Move aside. I'll feed your mommy,” he instructed.

Since their father figure had spoken, the little ones could only do as he had requested.

Gavin led his younger siblings to a corner. As they continued eating breakfast, they also sent a text to

Ethen.

Benjamin noticed what they were doing. He narrowed his eyes and warned them, “Don't play with your

phone while eating.”

Gavin swept a gaze over his father before pressing the send button. He then kept his phone and

remarked calmly, “I was just telling Mr. Frank something.” He wanted to explain that he was not playing

games on his phone.

Keeping his eyes pinned on the boy, Benjamin asked, “What was it about?” Why couldn't he tell me

instead?

“I'm not telling you,” Gavin replied in a cool manner.

His response evoked a chuckle from Arissa. She saw Benjamin's darkened expression and sided with

her son. “I bet it's something he finds inappropriate to share with you. Go ahead and eat your food.”

Our son should have the freedom to talk about anything to whoever he likes. It's not a must for him to

tell his parents everything. Benjamin is too strict on him.

Benjamin pursed his lip and said nothing. His gaze fell on Arissa. This woman spoils Gavin, and that's

why he's so outrageous. Despite ranting away in his mind, Benjamin did not dare voice his

dissatisfaction.

“Have some soup.” Benjamin fed her gently.

Arissa smiled and took over the spoon. “It's faster for me to eat on my own. Hurry up and finish your

food. You need to send them to school in a while.”

The children glanced in the direction of their parents and then continued eating quietly.

Benjamin turned to her and said, “Dad will drive them to school.”

Surprised, Arissa blinked. She was puzzled because she did not see Darius around. “Is Dad here too?”

“Mommy, Grandpa and Great-grandaunt came over as well, but they went to see Mr. Bailey first,”

Zachary updated her.

Darius and Mary must have gone to consult Shaun about Arissa's condition.

Right when their names were mentioned, the two walked into the room.

“Morning, Dad, Grandaunt,” Arissa greeted the two elderly in a friendly manner. “Please come over

here and have breakfast with us.”

Darius and Mary scrutinized Arissa's face as they made small talk with her before joining the little ones

for breakfast.

“Benjamin, I heard from the director that Nick's wife is here at the hospital too. It seems that Julian was

beaten up by someone.”

Benjamin narrowed his eyes when Darius brought the matter up all of a sudden.

Arissa was shocked to hear that. Julian was attacked again? And it's so serious that he's been

hospitalized?

She shot a suspicious glance at a particular someone standing nearby.

“I'm not sure.” Annoyed, Benjamin was uninterested to say more.

Darius looked at his son. He's probably not the culprit since he seems unruffled by it. If he really

wanted to teach Julian a lesson, he would have done it the other day. Why would he wait till today to

send his men to beat Julian up?

“I wonder who did it. Hopefully, it's not someone he has offended,” Darius mumbled.

He planned to visit Julian later. After all, the latter was also a member of the Graham family.

No matter how angry he was at what Julian had done, blood would still be thicker than water.

The sextuplets, who were the real culprits, snuck a glance at Darius. They then immediately lowered

their heads and continued eating. Nobody noticed their quick actions.

Benjamin remained placid. All he cared about was whether Arissa had enough to eat. “Focus on your

food. Everything else has got nothing to do with you.”

Arissa stared at him. She could not help but ask, “Did someone assault Julian today?”
