The next morning was supposed to be the best morning of Athena‘s life, but she never thought it was
going to turn out to be the worst day of her life.
She woke up with a loud threatening growl instead of sweet peppering kisses on her face.
The sweet dream broke way too fast than ever which she wasn‘t expecting at all and she was pushed
into the dark pit of darkness when her sleep broke and she opened her eyes.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!"
Alpha Dominic‘s furious growl woke her up and even scared her a little bit.
She quickly sat up on the bed and looked at him with a little surprise.She still wasn’t out of the fairy tale
she lived in yesterday night.She looked at him with a shy smile while pulling the bed sheet over her
body to cover her body and all the live bite he had given her all night.
"Alpha Dominic..."
She lazily mumbled his name while looking down.She was too shy to look him in the eyes.
Maybe that was why she failed to notice the visible anger and disgust in his eyes.
"Are you confused about what happened here? You might be because you were in your heat when we
met each other.I am your mate.You are my mate.And you mated me last night only.Just marking left."
She shyly kept talking, without noticing.
The blabbering came from the overly happy and nervousness.She didn’t know what she was talking
about.
It all seems like a dream to her still so she wasted a little more time and dreamt further about their
future.
He couldn‘t bear it any longer but held it in and looked at her like she was some dirt and he was
disgusted by her.
"Mark you? You??"
He scoffed with a roll of her eyes, confusing her a little bit.
She looked up at him for a split second before looking down again.She felt shy under his gaze and on
top of that she was still naked.
"Yes..? I am your mate.So, who else will you mark?" She asked slowly in confusion but didn’t look up
yet.
But Dominic had enough.
He couldn‘t put up with her act anymore.
According to him, how could someone act so much! ‘Mate! Our mate! She is not pathetic or
disgusting!‘
His wolf growled as he fought for control but Dominic had great control over him and didn‘t waver for a
second as he snapped at his wolf.
‘She is disgusting! She is here to betray us and we are never going to support or be with any betrayer"
He growled back before looking back at her, "You are disgusting! What the fuck are you doing here?!"
He growled out loudly once again, making her jump.
She looked at him with a confused look on her face as she was quick enough to notice the turn off of
the situation.
"Wh…what do you mean?"
She asked in bewilderment, not expecting this kind of reaction and giving her everything to him.Her
heart skipped a beat as she looked at him with fearful eyes.Her life flipped upside down as soon as she
looked at the cold eyes of him which was filled with desire for her last night.
Or was it just pure lust? Last night was the best night of her life and she was afraid that it was going to
turn out to be the worst day of her life as well.
She had been through a lot in her life and she thought it was going to be her escape from hell but it
doesn’t seem like that anymore.
If what she was afraid of happens, she was going to break down completely.
‘No! Don’t think like that.Our mate loves us.He won’t do anything to hurt us"
Her wolf shouted and cried out loudly but Athena didn’t let her words get on her head as she was
preparing herself beforehand.
‘We are not going to break down.You have to be with me in this.I need you to get through this.Please"
She requested before looking back at her mate with a helpless look.She was feeling like the most
helpless person in the world at that moment..
"How fucking dare you ask me that you disgusting woman?!"
He snapped while looking at her as if he was going to burn her alive through that look of his.
"I don‘t understand what you are talking about.I am your mate! How could you call me disgusting after
the night–..."
She couldn‘t even complete his sentence when he snapped again, making her a confused mess.
"Mate?!"
He spat as if it was something disgusting in his mouth.
"Don’t you feel ashamed to call yourself my mate?! You are disgusting!"
He cussed at her and it slowly started to scare Athena.
She was scared of what he might do to her in anger.She was scared of losing the last chance of her
better life.She was scared of losing her last hope to get out the fucked up life she was living.She was
scared of GETTING REJECTED.
"How am I disgusting?" She asked in a calm tone with a blank look on her face.
She seemed to predict where this was going to.
So, she was better preparing herself beforehand.
‘No! Don‘t think like that!‘ Her wolf whined restlessly but Athena kept her in great control.
‘Calm down! We have been through worse!’ She snapped at her in the head before blocking her wolf
and concentrating back on her mate.It’s true that she had been through a lot in her life but she knew as
well that if what she is predicting happens, nothing can be compared to that."You want me to explain
that to you bit by bit?"
He snapped in a cold yet dangerous tone.
