IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
Dominica up straight from the bed with a look of restlessness on his face.
It was the middle of the night but he couldn’t sleep. He looked at the empty side of his bed and let out a
high It’s not like they started to share bed officially or anything.
They did sleep on the bed a few times from the time she came back to his life But they, no, she didn’t
agree to move into his room with him.
He didn’t even force or say anything to her regarding it. But then why does it still feel so empty beside
him?
‘‘We need our mate Only she can fulfill Only she can help us out of this misery.Go to our mate.Hold her
close to our heart.We need her as much as she needs us ‘ His wolf whined in his head, making him
clench his jaw tightly.
He was helpless and his woll’s demand wasn’t helping him even though those words made sense.
"We can’t force ourselves on her! We have caused her enough heartache and misery, let's give her
some break Let’s not disturb her any more."
Dominic said while brushing away his hair roughly He won’t be able to make anyone understand what
he was feeling.
No one would understand him.
A lot of things were pent up inside him and he needed a release

His wolf said and Dominic couldn’t help but agree this time.His wolf was right and that seemed to be
the right decision at that moment. He didn't care what time it was.He was going to go for a run.
Not only him, his wolf was restless as well.
They both needed to go for this run and release their frustration.
They need it to think properly.
They have a lot going on in their lives.
With that thought he walked out of the room, but he didn’t walk out of the room directly.
He walked toward the room opposite to his which belonged to Ace.
They renovated the room for him a few days ago. He walked in there to check up on Ace before leaving
and found Athena sleeping on the couch of his room.
He was stopped at his track for a moment as he looked at her sleeping face with a frown.
‘Mate! Go to her! Touch her! Hold her ‘His wolf whined as it walked back and forth in his mind, The
reason for his frown was the look of restlessness on her face even though she was sleeping.
Only the goddess knew what she was dreaming about.
Or maybe the position was way too uncomfortable for her to sleep there.
Whatever it was, he wanted the frown to leave her face hence and he was ready to do anything for
that.
He walked toward her and kneeled down in front of her.
As soon as he was close to her, he saw her releasing a deep breath as if his mere presence just took
away half of her tension.
The thought put a small smile at his face.
But the tired look didn’t leave his face.
"The moon goddess took her time while making you, didn’t she? How can you be so beautiful?" He
asked while looking at her with a small smile.
He removed a piece of hair from her face which was disturbing her sleep.He heard her calm and
steady heartbeat to realise that she was soundly asleep.
"I know I have been an asshole toward you since the first time we met.I have never proved myself as a
rightful and capable mate for you.So, it’s understandable if you don’t trust me as Ace’s father.I rejected
you, hurt you, broke you and made you go through hell.Even after you came here, I continued being
the asshole.I know I didn’t do anything to make you trust me.But still why does i t hurt?" He asked as a
small drop of tear rolled down his cheek, "I am a coward, Athena.I don’t think I will ever be able to ask
this to you face to face.Because I am afraid.I am afraid of what might be your answer.So, I will ask now,
with no fear of your answer.What can I do to get your forgiveness?"
He whispered while landing a soft kiss on her forehead.He let out a sigh before carefully snaking his
arms behind her neck and behind her knees.He slowly and carefully picked her up, without breaking
her sleep.
She immediately wrapped her arms around his neck and let out a sigh in her sleep.She got comfortable
in his arms as she adjusted her head at the crook of his neck.
He felt her take a deep sniff of his scent which made him take a deep intake of breath to control himself
from doing anything.He quickly walked out of the room and walked inside his room.
Without any second thought, he walked toward the bed and dropped her down there carefully.
He knew she would wake up as soon as his scent left her.
So, he brought her to his room so that she could stay around his scent With that thought, he draped the
blanket he was wearing over her and fucked her nicely there.
With one last kiss on her forehead, he walked toward the window and jumped out of it without wasting
any more time With a loud howl, he got lost in the dark and deep jungle and at the same time, Athena
opened her eyes with a blank look on her face as she kept looking at the ceiling.
