The school would occasionally call the villa’s landline. However, Madelyn wanted peace. So, she
unplugged all the telephone lines. She did not even know where her handphone was. She had
completely isolated herself from the outside world.

Madelyn lay on the bed. She calmly said, “Go check the mailbox for any new mail.”
Margaret abided, “Okay.”
Madelyn thought, ‘It’s been quite some time. There should be some news by now.‘
A few minutes later, Margaret came upstairs with a thick envelope. She said, “I took this from the
mailbox just now. Ms. Jent,
what is it?”
Madelyn grabbed the envelope and opened it. She then took out an invitation letter with golden
embossed letters on it, inviting her to attend an award ceremony in three days.
A rare smile appeared on Madelyn’s face as she said, “I’ve won an award.”
Margaret exclaimed excitedly, “Oh my, really?! What award is it?”
Madelyn shook her head, “I’m not sure yet. It seems like they’ll announce the awards on the day of the
ceremony.”
Back then, she just did the painting to give it a shot. Other than the prize money, there was also a
