She turned to Mya and said, “I’m going to make some macarons. Do you want some?”

It had been some time since Madelyn made macarons, and she was even starting to forget what they
tasted like.
The bodyguard informed Zach about what Madelyn had said, but Zach just kept quiet.
Madelyn prepared a table full of food and Mya slept in the same room as her that night.
There was still a plate of uneaten macarons on the nightstand.
Mya hugged Madelyn and fell asleep. Even without covering themselves with a blanket, Madelyn could
