An hour later, Ellora arrived. She wore a warm-colored coat and had her long brown hair flowing down.
She was escorted inside by the guards at the door. If it were not for confirming with Mitchell on the
phone that Cynthia, whom he mentioned, was the same person as her friend Cynthia, Ellora would not
have dared to come to such a remote place late at night.
“Mr. Cyrus,” Ellora greeted Mitchell with a smile as he stood at the door. Mitchell was a big shot in the
legal world that even many top lawyers wanted to befriend.
“Cynthia is inside. She’s had a bit too much to drink. Thank you for agreeing to look after her,” Mitchell
said in a gentle tone.
“No problem,” Ellora replied.
As she followed Mitchell inside, Ellora could not help but wonder if Cynthia’s husband was Mitchell.
Before Ellora could ponder further, she stopped in her tracks upon seeing the person taking care of
Cynthia inside.
Joshua Neal?
“Cynthia…” Ellora stopped in the living room, unable to process what was happening.
Upon hearing Ellora’s voice, Cynthia immediately looked up. Her face was still blank, but her eyes were
brighter than usual. Then, Cynthia stood up and ran toward Ellora, throwing herself into Ellora’s arms.
“Ellora!”
Ellora was taken aback. She hugged Cynthia back, still unable to wrap her head around what was
happening.
She, a small and inconspicuous person, had met the hardest-to-get Joshua and Mitchell overnight.
No one would believe her if it got out.
“What’s going on?” Ellora asked Cynthia in a low voice,
“I don’t want to sleep with him,” Cynthia said, speaking her mind. She felt the person she was holding
onto was so soft. “So I said I wanted to sleep with you.”
Ellora gulped. “Who?””
“Joshua,” Cynthia said clearly.
Ellora instinctively looked at the man wearing a black suit and emitting an intimidating aura, whom she
knew immediately was the man Cynthia was divorcing because of his obsession with his ex-lover.
“Mr. Neal,” she politely greeted him.
*Take care of her. If you need anything, come to me.” Joshua said, exuding a domineering aura. While
Joshua might not like her, he knew Ellora could care for Cynthia.
Ellora nodded in understanding.
After confirming which room Cynthia was staying in, Ellora took her upstairs.
Thankfully, Cynthia was not too drunk this time. Ellora helped her take a shower before putting her to
bed.
The two men in the living room did not seem to have any intention of going upstairs.
It was not until one in the morning that Mitchell went upstairs to sleep. Since Ellora had not come out
by
then, it indicated that Cynthia was already asleep.
After Mitchell left, Moses emerged from the room on the first floor, wearing a set of dark-colored
pajamas and with slightly messy hair as he had been lying in bed for a while.
Joshua’s anger that had dissipated a little resurfaced upon seeing him.
“Don’t
get angry at night. It’s not good for your health,” Moses said as he walked over in slippers and sat on
the couch.
“If you know it’s not good for my health, why are you still doing this?” Joshua wanted to punch him for
what he had done earlier that night.
He should have thrown him out the window and let him sleep outside!
