As Cynthia listened to Shirley, suddenly, everything, became clear to her. Then, she looked at Shirley
with a doting gaze and drove her to her apartment.
At half past one in the afternoon, Cynthia arrived with Shirley in the neighborhood.
Shirley had just gotten out of the car and was heading toward the elevator when she saw a tall,
handsome man dressed in at black coat with two suitcases getting out of his car.
Shirley’s eyes widened. “Oh my goodness! Cynthia, that guy is so handsome!”
Compared to Joshua, he was equally impressive!
Cynthia lacked the car without paying much attention. “You’re already in a relationship.”
“It’s not for myself, but it’s for you to see. Just take a look at how handsome that man is! He must be
around 6’3″ tall, with a straight posture and an exceptional presence. He’s a perfect match for you,”
Shirley mischievously replied,
Cynthia, curious about who could earn such admiration from her sister, followed Shirley’s gaze. Both of
them were fans of good looks, and Shirley would only compliment someone if they were really
attractive.
“Cynthia!” Shirley grabbed her arm, intentionally lowering her voice but still sounding excited. “It seems
like he’s looking at us! Is he looking at you? Do you know him?”
Could it be love at first sight?
Ahh!
When Shirley said that, Cynthia happened to see the person she was referring to. She froze and
sighed at her unfortunate luck.
How did she end up running into Matthew?
“The elevator is about to close. Aren’t you coming over?” Matthew, noticing, Cynthia standing there like
a statue, reminded
her.
Cynthia was just about to say she would take the next one, but Shirley pulled her over. “Let’s go! Let’s
go!”
Cynthia knew she could not hide as it would be too obvious, and Matthew would think she was trying to
escape.
“Thank you, Sir,” Shirley said as she entered the elevator, her eyes twinkling with stars.
“No need for formalities,” Matthew replied calmly. Upon seeing a certain someone who had been
indifferent since they entered, he added, “Cynthia and I are friends. Just call me Matthew.”
As soon as he got out of the car, he heard the young girl’s voice. He could not make out the exact
words, but he definitely heard Cynthia’s voice too.
Shirley’s eyes lit up!
Friends! That meant there could be sparks between him and Cynthia!
“Alright, Matthew. I’m Cynthia’s sister, Shirley!”
Shirley’s smile was incredibly adorable.
Matthew nodded slightly.
Shirley was already thinking about matchmaking the two!
Matthew seemned much easier to get along with than Joshua Even though they had only exchanged
briefly, they seemed to get along well
It must happen!
“Matthew, can you cook?” Shirley casually asked.
2/2
Cynthia was puzzled. She had not even spolen yet when Matthew responded.
“Yes.”
“Cynthia isn’t very good at cooking.” Shirley glanced at the floor they were heading to, then turned to
Cynthia. “When you cook, can you invite Cynthia? Don’t worry. I’ll cover the food expenses!”
Cynthia was baffled by Shirley’s request and lightly tapped Shirley’s head. “What are you saying? Don’t
trouble others.”
“Matthew isn’t just anyone.” Shirley noticed the way Matthew looked at Cynthia in the elevator. If he
were merely a friend, then pigs could fly!
Cynthia frowned, feeling like this little troublemaker was being a bit rebellious Inday.
“Shirley!”
“I’m sorry,” Shirley stuck out her tongue and quickly apologized.
