As Kevan didn’t ask her to stop, she didn’t dare to stop.
She felt his body leaning back.
In the end, his body weight was fully leaning on her. It was clear he had fallen asleep.
Larissa didn’t have the heart to wake him up.
He must have been exhausted preparing a feast for them the whole aftemoon. It was understandable
that he would be tired by now.
She whispered for Aster to tum off the television. Wendy also left the living room
“You should let Mr. Rogers sleep over here tonight” Wendy said.
“Yeah.” Larissa had the same thought.
Once they were alone in the living room, Larissa supported Kevan’s back and prepared to get up from
the sola. She intended to lay him
down gently on the sola
Alas, she had hardly moved when Kevan opened his eyes.
His dark eyes seemed clouded by a hazy mist. There was an unexpected charm to him being so
unguarded.
“Did I fall asleep?” He rubbed his forehead and sat upright.
His deep voice sounded slightly hoarse, but it only added to his allure.
“What’s the time?” he asked Larissa, who replied. “It’s half past ten. It’s too late to leave now, just sleep
here.”
The haze in Kevan’s eyes disappeared and revealed a calculating glint.
“Where shall I sleep?” He stared intently at Larissa, with a playful smile on his lips.
Larissa’s heart sank and her cheeks burned with embarrassment.
“You can choose to either sleep on the sofa or Aster’s room,” she stuttered as she tried to avoid his
intense gaze.
Kevan sat up from the sola. His tall frame blocked out the light, casting his shadow over Larissa.
“Larissa.” He wrapped an arm around Larissa’s waist and leaned in, forcing her to meet his gaze.
“You’ve decided to marry me, so there is no reason for us to sleep separately.”
As Larissa was captivated by his mesmerizing smile, he kissed her
When Larissa returned from taking a shower, Kevan had been waiting on her bed for quite some time.
Although they had shared a bed when she was sick before, that was a special circumstance.
Facing him while fully conscious felt awkward.
Kevan put away his phone and leaned against the headboard, walching her calmly. He didn’t say
anything but walled silently for her to
come closer.
Larissa hesitated for a minute at the door before mustering the courage to move closer step by step.
She tried to not look at him as she walked to the other side of the bed.
Larissa lifted the blanket and quickly slipped under the covers
With her back toward him, Larissa turned the bedside lamp off and said, Tm going to sleep, good
Before she could finish speaking, Kevan’s scorching body pressed up against her.
