“Don’t panic.” She calmed herself down and comforted the assistant instead. “This isn’t your fault. I
don’t blame you. Go around and ask if anyone has seen Aster. I will call the security department. Bye.”
She walked toward the main entrance even as she called security.
There were only two places where one could enter and exit the hotel-a main entrance, and an
emergency back exit. Under normal circumstances, the back exit was not open.
If Aster had really been kidnapped, the kidnapper had to go through either one of those doors with
Aster. She got security to retrieve the
surveillance footage from the floor that the restaurant was on before getting them to send people to
guard both exits.
“The moment you have anything, call me immediately.” she said.
Larissa kept her eyes fixed on the main entrance. There were a lot of people moving in and out. She
stared at every child that passed her by-but none of them were her Aster. Nothing came from security
either.
The feeling of unease Larissa felt grew stronger and stronger, and her heart began to sink bit by bit.
After nearly an hour, security finally called. “Ms. Seymour, we’ve found your son! He’s been taken by a
very strangely dressed person to
Room 1503. Do you need us to go over?”
Larissa ran towards the front desk, ignoring the fact that she was wearing almost 4-inch heels.
“Yes! Send people over right now! I be there soon!”
She literally cut through the line of quests waiting to check in as she ordered the front desk, “Give me a
room card for 1503” with a loud voice, scaring the young girl stationed there.
“Right away. Ms. Seymour!” She immediately had the card ready for her.
Larissa raced toward the elevator, lighting her way past the crowd as well as squeezing her way into
the elevator car. She ignored the crowd’s complaints as well as their ridicule, her eyes remained fixed
on the constantly changing numbers on the elevator screen.
The moment the number changed to 15. she shoved at the people in front of her and stumbled out of
the elevator.
“Is she out of her f ucking mind?”
“Where the hell does she think she’s going? Crazy woman!”
She ignored all and any curses sent her way. Room 1503 was close to the elevator, and she arrived
within two minutes. Security personnel had not yet arrived.
Larissa could not wait: she opened the door with the room card.
In the next second, she heard Aster’s cries. Unable to think of anything else, fear and worry urged her
to open the door and rush in.
There were two people in the room.
Aster was curled up under the study table, and the very strangely dressed person, as described by
security, wore a long windbreaker. He wore what looked like a sweatshirt underneath the windbreaker
as well as a cap on his head, and he had his back to her, kicking Aster with
vehemence.
All the blood rushed into Larissa’s head, and she saw red as all sense of rationality vanished.
“Let go of my son!” She rushed over and wrapped her arms lightly around the man’s waist, yanking him
away from Aster.
That man was not strong-and was actually rather thin and weak. Larissa easily dragged him over to the
bed belore elbowing him hard. sending him sprawling onto the bed. She proceeded to pin him down,
hands pressed firmly on his shoulders while her knees dug into the
small of his back.
“Ahr the person screamed.
Only did Larissa realize-“he” was actually a woman!
