Ruby watched as Kevan shut the door behind him, darkness lashing momentarily through her eyes as

her fists clenched, and she nearly ground her own teeth to dust. Her little actions did not go unnoticed

by Dylan, but he remained as cool as a cucumber and acted as if he saw nothing

“Ms. Cole. Mr, Rogers said that you had suffered serious comestic abuse? He continued the subject

from before.

“Yes” The moment Kevan left. Ruby’s attitude toward Dyan became cold at once. She did not even look

at him while she spoke. Her attitude cid not surprise Dylan, even though he fell discomfited with it. But

it was precisely because he know what sort of person she was that he was able to accept it. He thought

with some amount of dark glee. “I wonder what sort of attitude or expression she will show when she

finds nul Kevan and are best friends?”

“Could you provide me with the details and informat on you gave to the previous lawyer?” Dylan asked.

“I don’t have them with me right now.” Ruby denied him at once. “If you want them, find Mr. Rogers.”

With that, she did not care how Dylan would react standing up and dismissing him at once. “I’m a little

tired. Mr. Shields. Il there’s nothing else, please leave at once. We can talk about the divorce at a later

date.”

If he did not reed to maintain his professional lawyer image, Dylan would have snapped back long ago.

Tired? She did nothing all day long–just lying on the sola and cating takeout. Just how tired could she

be?

Internally rolling his eyes. Dylan maintained a polite smile and said. “Of course, I will take my leave

then.” He dug out a business card and left it on the coffee table. “Please make an appointment with me

beforehand should you wish to discuss the matter of the divorce.”

“Yeah.” Ruby was very offhand about it

Dylan was about to leave when he suddenly heard a lant, soft meow. That sound clearly came from a

kitten. He suddenly recalled the Ragdoll in Kevan’s home. “You have a kitten as well Ms. Cole? He

asked in surprise.

“Yeah.” Ruby frowned, standing in place as she surveyed the room, seemingly cosing for that kitten.

However, the animal only meowed out loud every now and then but never showed lact. Ruby grew

irritated.

Ill see you of Mr. Shields. Huby dismissed him once more

Even if Dylan was really curious about that kitten, he could not remain any longer. The door nearly

scraped against his back as it closed. Dylan had only waked away a few steps when he heard the

woman inside shrieking as if she had gone mad. “Cut Get out here you fucking shit of a cal!”

heart Date the

Something cold clamped around Dylan’s elevator arrived, he quickly went inside.

Kevan’s car was still parked downstairs.

Dylan went over with some hope, and just as he expected, Kevan was inside, a cigarelle pinched

between the lingers of his right hand. Kevan’s expression was despondent, his eyes hall–narrowed. He

was staring blanky at something, something clearly on his mind. When he heard Gyan opening the car

door, he finally came back to himsell

“How come you’re back so soon?” He stubbed out the cigarette, surprise lashing through his eyes.

“Psh!” Cyan snorted coldly. “You don’t even know how quickly Ruby changed her attitudel The moment

you lett, she didn’t want to talk to me anymore. I’m seriously suspecting if she even wants to get a

divorce.”

Kewan’s mocking smile was just the same as his. “Who knows?

*Oh, yeard By the way.” Dylan rubbed at the nonexistent goosebumps on this arms and asked

carefully, “Does Huby have some sort of mental illness?”
