able to attend a family least like this with Lucas meant that she could not possibly be just a regular
friend.
Cecilia’s lie was terrible, but the guests could understand how she felt. If they were in her shoes, they
would never acknowledge Lana as their daughter–in–law either.
Xander and Lucas just happened to return to the private room at this time.
Cecilia reacted as if she had found her savior, and she frantically waved at Lucas. “Lucas! Hurry up and
take your friend away!”
