She’d frequently wondered if Kevan had not had that accident all those years ago, would Ruby not
become so extreme? Maybe they could have lived together happily and blissfully as a family of three.
But it was no use dwelling on those things now.
Kevan frowned harder. “Forgetting Ruby is probably the only good thing about losing my memories,” he
said. “Heaven gave me a chance to right a wrerg–to let me correct a mistake that I made before.”
Larissa did not comment with regard to his words. “You may not think like this when you’ve recovered
your memory.”
He loved Ruby so deeply that when he remembered everything, the only thing left would pronably be a
huge sense of regret.
“I won’t.” Kevan’s attitude was firm, and Larissa could not be bothered to argue with him.
Kevan suddenly asked. “Although– How is it that you know my past so well? He eyed her skeptically.
“You’ve met my grandba, and are good friends with DylanLarissa, are you hiding something from me?”
His scorching gaze was rather sharp, so much so that it made Larissa look down gullily.
“Have you forgotten that you’re famous? Her voice had quieted down considerably, and there was no
confidence in it at all I’ve seen some of your things on the news, and I’ve heard Dylan mention a few
things too.”
She was clearly trying to distance herself from him.
Kevan was a little disappointed and angry at the same time, but he dared not to push her too hard. One
day, when she found out that he did not truly lose his memory, everything today would be the perfect
ammunition she could use to start a crusade against him. Ci course. this was if she were still willing to
talk to him.
“Is that so?” He pretended to accept her explanation before asking. “What else do you know about me?
Could you tell me? Maybe it might help me recall a memory or two.”
“That’s it.” Larissa did not dare say more for fear of revealing any vulnerabilities.
Kevan sighed softly. “They rarely talk about my past with me, probably due to fear that they might
trigger something or upset me.”
“Maybe they think that the past is not as important as the present? II it were possible, Larissa hoped
that he would not remember the past -il he could selectively forget anything related to her, that was
naturally even beller. But the chances for such a thing happening were pretty small. “Live in the
present. She advised him, “The past is in the past now. It doesnt matter whether or not you remember.”
Hearing her say all that to him with such calm, Kewan’s feelings of hurt and reluctance grew stronger.
Was their shared past together so worthless to her that it did not deserve to be remembered? Did it not
matter to her il he forgot her forever?
It seemed that his self–perceived beautiful memories were worth nothing on her end.
The light in Kevan’s eyes dimmed. He stared at the emptiness before him, eyes completely devoid of
life.
Larissa clearly sensed his emotional changes but only thought that he was sad over losing his
memories of the past, so she did not say
any words of comfort.
“Try to sleep scon if your head isn’t hurting anymore.” She decided to change the subject “Il you’re still
burning up tomorrow morning, i will send you to the hospital to get treatment.”
Kevan came back to himself quickly due to her words.
“My head still hurts a little.” He pressed hard or his temples and let out a grimace of pan. He was not
lying about this. He had drunk so much yesterday night and had a high fever. Then he was cut and
about for the whole day today, and had not been able to rest properly at all, His temples were throbbing
still, but it was not in the extent that he would not be able to sleep.
He just did not want Larissa to leave so soon.
He had just barely managed to get the chance to be alone with her.
