After dinner, Sherry and the group arrived at a club near the office
The club was the first to operate under the Sagers after she joined the company, and it continued to be
the most popular one in the city
The group had fun until midnight. Many of them got drunk.
Sherry waited by the roadside and saw them off before she headed to the parking lot. There were still
many cars in the parking lot at this hour, but her car stood out from the rest because there was a tall
and elegant figure next to it.
The handsome man wore a white shirt, had a pair of golden framed glasses and looked extra clean-cut
with the combination. He held a big bouquet of roses in his hands.
When Sherry spotted him, she met his bewitching smile. Her heart raced. She smiled and went over to
him.
“Sherry, Happy Resignation,” he said and gave her the roses.
Sherry took it and said, “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” He curled his lips and softly pinched her cheek.
“What are you doing?” She glared at him.
John stepped closer to her eyes, lowered his head, and brought the tip of his nose close to hers,
sniffing
Sherry blushed. She unconsciously wanted to push him away, but he circled her waist before she
could.
He lowered himself further and pressed his lips against hers. His kiss felt firm but soft, so soft that
Sherry lost the intention to push him away.
The kiss lasted for a while.
Sherry had to push the man away to stop the kissing streak.
John released her and pinched her face once more. “Did you have a dozen bottles of wine tonight?”
She reeked of alcohol, and it was not only her breath.
Sherry’s eyes flickered. “No, it was my subordinates. I just had a few glasses.”
John narrowed his eyes. “Your blood is flowing with alcohol. Do you really think I’m an idiot?”
Sherry gulped nervously because she knew it was a lie as well. She replied with a glare. “This is my
last day at the Sagers. Can’t I have a little extra fun? What? Did my alcoholic breath get in your way?”
How dare he question her and nag her?
John was slightly stunned. He held his laughter back and said, “Drinking too much will harm your body.
I just want you to stay healthy.”
Sherry raised a brow. “I know what I’m doing. You don’t need to worry about me.” She knew her alcohol
tolerance level. She loved to drink, but she was not an alcoholic.
John caressed her face which was stained with a blush. “Alright. Let’s go home.”
Sherry nodded. She took a step back and John opened the door for her. She shot him a praising gaze
for his manners. She then entered the car with the bouquet of roses.
John smiled and got into the driver’s seat
Before he started the car, he had a look into the rearview mirror
Behind the car was an expensive but inconspicuous MPV
