Chapter 1176 This immediately provoked a strong reaction from Sherry. John grinned in satisfaction,
clearly aware of what he had just done and took pride in it.
If not for her still-recovering hip and calf, she would have eagerly filled another bucket full ofice-cold
water and splashed it all over his smug face! "I won't eat then.
Who cares about eating the stinking food that you serve at your place!” She yelled before leavingthe
bathroom with a towel wrapped snugly around her.
Noticing that he was not intending to leave, she cast a pointed glare at him and said,"I'm going to bed,
so get out of here already!” John remained standing in the same spot and slowly darted his eyes
across the bed that was nowhere near dried up yet.
He suddenly asked, "Who was it who arranged for you to sleep in this room?” “How would I know?”
The scowl onher face was as unpleasant as her voice.
There was a subtle change in his expression as he proceeded to inform her, “This room is only for
house members of asenior position, you're not qualified to use this room just yet.” LI Sherry balled her
hands into a fist.
She was completely consumed with rage and challenged John with a menacing scowl, “You b*stard,
are you trying to pick a fight here?” She could get over Shannon splashingwater over her face to wake
her up.
She could also get over John's decision to punish her by not allowing her to eat for aday even though it
had been Shannon's fault to begin with.
However, this was the limit for her! How dare he tell her that she did not deserve to sleep in thisroom?
How dare he kick her out?! What sort of ridiculous logic was this! John frowned sharply but quickly
regained his composure.
LE He shot a look at Sherry before promptly turning and walking away.
Sherry thought that he was fleeing out of fear, only to immediately hear his voice again just a short
distance outside the room, “Marlow, pleasereassign her to another room that befits her position.
There’s no need to give her any special treatment.
Just treat her like any other ordinary housemaid and do whatever you will with her.” Sherry immediately
left the room.
By the time she had walked into the courtyard, she was only able to catch a glimpse of his figure
frombehind as he walked out of the block.
An entirely nauseating sensation rushed up to her head and made her feel as if she was losing her
breath.
Completely unexpectedly, she felt a sharp sting rushing up to her nose and her eyes welled withtears.
2 She held her breath and quickly wiped away her tears.
That was when Marlow suddenly approached her, “Miss Sherry, the master ordered me to arrange a
new room foryou to stay in, please" “I know.
Let me get my things first, then I'll come with you.” Before Marlow could respond, Sherry walked back
to theroom.
She quickly grabbed her clothes and phone before stepping out of the room.
Marlow was waiting for her outside.
Shortly after, she was taken to a shared room.
It was significantly smaller than her previous room, and it seemed like a room for two people as well
since shespotted two tiny beds in the room.
There were no luxuries like a balcony or bathtub, but all the necessities were provided.
The mattress was rather comfortable as well and it seemed like she would get to have the room all to
herself, at leastfor now.
After thoroughly drying her hair and changing out of her wet clothes, she threw herself on the bed and
promptly fell asleep.
She did not sleep very well.
She could feel her body getting colder as she slept and her head felt as if a thousandstones had been
packed inside it, making her feel very dizzy.
She had no idea how long she slept and by the time she woke up, the sky had turned dark.
It was Hailey who ended up waking her up.
"Hey! Why are you still sleeping? It's getting dark, wake up!” Hailey was the housemaid who had taken
care of Sherry during the year that John had kepther locked up in the house.
Sherry's brain felt incredibly foggy and when she woke up she thought that she was still dreaming and
muttered groggily, “Honey, why did I dream of you?” Hailey was speechless and rolled her eyes.
That was when a gust of wind blew in through the cracks of the window which made Sherry shiver all
over and · jolted herback to her senses.
"I'm not dreaming?" She sat up with the thick quilt wrapped around her and looked confusedly at
Hailey.“ Why areyou here?" Hailey answered awkwardly, "I live in the room across from you.
