Flint greeted them amicably, “Nice to meet you, Amanda and Carla.”

Amanda greeted Flint with a polite smile, “Nice to meet you.”
She could not help herself from gawking at him.
Seeing that it was about time to commence their shoot for the day, Isabel promptly turned to Flint. “Why
don’t you go home first?”
“Alright, I’ll pick you up tomorrow at noon.”
“Sure.”
Flint made sure to bid farewell to Amanda and Carla before heading into his ostentatious car.

The engine roared and the sports car spun around the corner, vanishing out of sight in no time.
Amanda and Carla were still standing motionlessly and staring in the direction Flint drove off in.
Isabel had to reel them back to the present. “Amanda? Carla?"
The two were quickly brought back to their senses.

and asked with an easy smile, "Isabel, what does your brother do?"
Isabel answered casually while walking into the building, "He works on research projects in a
laboratory.”
To be precise, he was a phenomenal scientist.
She only omitted that part because Flint looked too young to befit the title of a scientist. Furthermore,
the title “scientist” drew more attention than she would have liked.
Amanda was surprised by this. “He’s doing scientific research at such a young age? Amazing!”
Carla covered her reddened cheeks. “He’s so handsome too. I’ve never seen someone so handsome
in my life!”
Isabel made a face.
Amanda joked, "Isabel, was it you who gifted him that sports car?”
“No, it wasn’t me.”
Even if she could afford that sports car with the money she made from acting, she would not have been
able to buy it anyway. It was an exclusive model that even the most prolific rich had trouble securing for
themselves, and the chances that she could buy it were next to nil.
Amanda seemed surprised by this and asked for clarification, “You mean to say he bought it by
himself?”
It did not seem like working in a laboratory could be that much of a lucrative career. The only way he
could have afforded it was if he had other businesses or if their family was obscenely wealthy.
Isabel grew alarmed.
Amanda was trying to skimp information out of her!
The car was a birthday gift that Liam had given Flint this year. If she were to tell Amanda the truth, it
would lead her to speculate about her family background.
With this in mind, she made something up on the spot, “No, he didn’t buy the car.”
“Is it your family car?" Amanda asked with suspicion glowing in her eyes.
Isabel stated with a brisk smile, "No, he borrowed it from his friend."
Borrowed from a friend?
The light in Amanda's eyes dimmed instantly.
Before receiving this information, she was still excitedly speculating if Isabel had come from a rich
family this entire time. The truth was often disappointing; the car was merely borrowed from a friend.
Then, her eyes glowed again when another probability occurred to her.
Since he would borrow such an expensive car to drive around, could this mean that he was fond of
living a luxurious lifestyle?
She promptly asked to try her luck, “Does your brother have any interest in singing or acting by any
chance?”
Isabel said very bluntly, “No. He sings completely out of tune and has zero interest in acting.”
More importantly, Flint already had a job in which he took pride and passion. He had chosen his job
over taking over Carter Corporation, and there was no way he would choose to enter the entertainment
industry.
