Ellinor glanced at him, ‘No longer with us? She passed away?”
Byran shook his head, looking a little down, “I’m not sure! I never met Pearl, they say she disappeared
when she was very young. I guess…. she might be dead”
Realizing she’d touched a sore spot, Ellinor frowned slightly, “Sorry, I shouldn’t have asked that”
Byrans mood swings were quick, the sadness on his face vanished in an instant, he said determinedly.
“It’s okay‘ I consider you a friend, so you can ask anything!”
Ellinor fell silent
She didn’t remember agreeing to be friends.
