Chase followed, whispering. “Seriously though, do you want to go to the movies with me?”
“No!” Belinda’s heart raced She couldn’t handle Chase playing with her emotions like this. She
quickened her pace and entered the house with Baber
Perfect timing, Marissa had just finished preparing lunch.
She greeted them with a warm smile, “Belinda, perfect timing. We were about to call you for lunch.
Come, have a seat! Let’s see if you like our food.”
Belinda politely responded and took a seat next to Ellinor with Baber.
Upon seeing Ellinor, Baber reached out for her.
