Chapter 2686Chapter 2686
“Talon, you wouldn't hold a grudge against a kid like me, right?”
Talon rolled his eyes so hard they almost got stuck in his head. If it weren't for Daisy giving his hand a light tap, he wouldn’t have
given those two the time of day.
“Alright, that’s enough,” Daisy said with a perpetual smile. “If you two are up for a makeover, just wait until I'm done with my hair,
and I'll have my personal stylist set you up from head to toe. How does that sound? And don’t worry about the cost; it’s all on
me.
Imogen was over the moon, though she played coy for a bit.
“Oh, how can we accept this? We just had a little misunderstanding; we can’t let you foot the bill for us.”novelbin
Imogen reached out, trying to link arms with her, but Daisy smoothly dodged the gesture, saying, “Don’t mention it. It's no big
deal. Just sit back and enjoy.”
Once the stylist whisked them away, Daisy turned to Talon with a half-hearted scolding, “Look at the mess you've stirred up. If |
weren't here, would you really be ready to go toe-to-toe with her?”
“Thanks. With you guys backing me up, what’s there to fear?” Talon laughed heartily. Even without Daisy’s support, he wasn’t
afraid to ruffle some feathers in the industry. Besides, his family wasn’t exactly short on cash-if they were, he wouldn’t have been
able to start his own studio so smoothly.
Daisy’s gaze then settled on Regina, who was standing nearby. “Regina, do remember me?”
Regina smiled sincerely, “How could | forget you, Aunt Daisy?”
“That’s my girl. Your mom and | were thick as thieves back in school-we even went to the restroom together. Just remember, if
you ever feel slighted at home, come straight to me. Don’t let those two bully you. You're the real young miss of the Tanner
family, and no one can take that from you. Got it?”
Regina always felt a rush of emotion when she encountered one of her mother’s old friends. She wasn’t alone in remembering
her mother.
“Don't worry, Daisy; | won't let myself be pushed around.”
After giving Regina some more advice, Daisy headed back to finish her hairdo.
Once they were alone, Regina turned to Talon. You really didn’t need to offend them on my account. It’s better to offend a
gentleman than a villain-they’re much trickier than you think.”
“Pfft you think I’m scared of them?”
The two sat down in Regina’s personal makeup room, a place where she could relax as if she were at home.
Talon was the one who always did Regina’s makeup, a rare privilege that was hers alone.
“You say that because you haven't dealt with them directly. If you had, you wouldn't be so nonchalant.”
Regina let him dab and swipe at her face, trusting him to reveal an even more beautiful side of her.
“Are you saying this because they've
already given you a hard time?” Talon
paused mid-stroke, his eyes filled
with concern as he looked at Regina.
