“Stop worrying, you two,” Byran crossed his arms and said, “Isn’t the wedding just around the corner?
Start getting ready! As for Theo, my brother and I got this. We’ll make sure he’s back safely!”
His good intentions were met with skeptical glances from Chase and Belinda.
Balfour was reliable, but Byran? Not so much. Instead of helping, there’s a good chance he’d just mess

Irritated by their obvious disdain, Byran exclaimed, “What’s with those looks, huh? Don’t believe in my
abilities?”

“I’m going home,” said Ida.

Balfour nodded, signaling the driver to drop them off at their respective destinations.
Since the Blanchet Villa was downtown, the driver first dropped off Chase and Belinda at the bridal
boutique.
Next, he dropped off Ida at her apartment building.
After thanking Balfour politely, Ida got out of the car alone. Byran followed in silence.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
The sound of Balfour’s voice froze Byran in his tracks. He turned around and gave a sheepish grin,
“Bro, I’m just going to hang out at Ida’s place for a bit and then I’ll head home.”
Clearly, his excuse didn’t convince Balfour.
“You’re a grown man! You shouldn’t be hanging out at a girl’s place! Come home with me!”
Byran frowned, “Bro, you know Ida and I are dating! What’s wrong with visiting my girlfriend? Just
because you’re single doesn’t mean I can’t spend time with my girlfriend!”
Balfour’s face darkened instantly, “What did you just say?”
“No-nothing!” Byran quickly hopped off the car and ran after Ida.
Balfour was left speechless.
The driver turned to Balfour, “Should we go after Byran?”
Balfour pinched his brow, clearly annoyed. “Leave him be. Let’s go.”
“Yes, sir, the driver replied.
Just as Ida was entering the elevator and the doors were closing, suddenly, Byran pried the doors open
and squeezed in, grinning at her
Ida was taken aback, “Did your brother let you get off the car?”
Byran shrugged, “Nope! I escaped!”
Ida adjusted her glasses, playing along with his antics, “Why aren’t you going home? What are you
doing here?”
