The Grand Pagoda Summoning Skill was well-known for the harm it caused. And so, Austin could not
dare to be careless.
Even though he had gone through all the cultivation methods that were mentioned in the book several
times, Austin looked through them for the last time. He started to feel brave enough to begin his
cultivation.
He closed his eyes and began concentrating all his attention on the cultivation method he had just
learned. At the beginning of the cultivation, Austin held out his hands and crossed his fingers into a
rather odd position. A few seconds later, as his spirit gradually summoned his vital energy, it began to
flow through his veins.
Then, a short while later, streams of golden, radiant vital energy penetrated through his veins and came
out from between his palms.
Like a golden, delicate snake that was sliding up a tree, the vital energy began curling around Austin's
hands. After a moment, the mysterious golden vital energy began to gather together and formed the
shape of a tower base.
However, a clicking sound was heard and then, the tower base dispersed.
As he had expected, the cultivation process was not easy. Austin was supposed to continue utilizing his
vital energy and forming it into a solid tower base instead of just an illusionary form. He failed in his first
try.
Austin was not discouraged at all, however. He understood that the Grand Pagoda Summoning Skill
was not a trivial cultivation skill that could easily be cultivated by anyone. The challenge in practicing
the skill also explained why it had a strong, formidable power.
After bracing himself for some moments, Austin began again.
Then, he failed.
He tried once more, and failed again.
Every time the result was the same.
Hours went by, but Austin did not even think of taking a break. Again and again, he tried harder and
harder. The rapture of his cultivation had so arrested his mind that Austin didn't pay the slightest
attention to his physical weariness.
His finger motions became more proficient after having tried so many times. His hands did not feel the
original rigidness of the gesture any longer. Instead, he looked as if a skilled magician who was
displaying his magic spell. He did not have to wait long for the vital energy to come out now.
Like butterflies that flutter around beautiful, delicate flowers, his hands danced graciously along with the
snake-like vital energy.
Every time he tried, the tower base became clearer than the previous attempt. He could see the pattern
and shape of the tower becoming more visible and more tangible. Around the tower base, a cold and
chilly air swirled along with the motion of his hands.
Gradually, above the vivid tower base that had formed, a contour of a golden tower appeared. Austin
fixed his eyes steadily on the golden tower that was developing in front of him. His mind was tense. He
was utterly engrossed in his achievement. He had gotten this far, and he was anxious that if he didn't
focus, the golden tower would diminish any minute.
The contour of the golden tower became clearer. Gingerly, he crossed his forefingers and changed
their position. A strand of golden vital energy flew out from Austin's crossed fingers, and after swirling
around the air twice, it sailed into the contour of the golden tower.
A buzzing sound was heard as the vital energy squeezed in.
The contour of the golden tower seemed to swell once the vital energy was inside. After a few
moments, the light of the vital energy began to dwindle.
In the end, the light completely disappeared and then, the contour of the golden tower turned into a
solid, dazzling shape and slowly, it fell in Austin's hand.
That was it! The Three-layer Grand Pagoda.
The cultivation of Grand Pagoda Summoning Skill had three steps.
The first step was to condense the Three-layer Grand Pagoda.
The second step was to condense the Six-layer Grand Pagoda.
The third and last step required the cultivator to condense the Nine-layer Grand Pagoda.
The moment the Three-layer Grand Pagoda landed on his palm, Austin felt a sudden flow of electric
current pass through his veins. He shuddered, and all his muscles tensed.
He was excited but nervous as the most dangerous part of the cultivation process had arrived. Others
had told Austin that many inner disciples had died in this part of the cultivation. It was said that at this
point, the body could very easily be injured and the energy meridian could break and explode.
Austin heard a thud sound.
The Three-layer Grand Pagoda began to tremble violently as it released a gust of strong, chilly air. The
cold wind whirled around it. After some moments, the strong air began to pour into Austin's energy
meridian and mingled with his blood.
The fierceness of its force was so intense that it seemed it would disrupt his whole energy meridian
system.
Fortunately, Austin had prepared in advance. He knew this situation would come.
At the right moment, he activated his skill of the Golden Sun Scripture. As the elixir field lightened up
inside him, the vital energy that was stored in it began to flow into his energy meridian. In a few
seconds, the flow of the vital energy that was produced by the Golden Sun Scripture skill met the
violent, chilly air released by the Three-layer Grand Pagoda.
As if a fierce battle had broken out between the two opposing armies, Austin's energy meridian vibrated
immensely.
Apparently, the chilly blow of the Three-layer Grand Pagoda was so strong that it intercepted the
direction of the vital energy of the Golden Sun Scripture skill. Like a furious predator that was being
challenged over a large, powerful prey, its movement was swift and astoundingly aggressive.
The strength of the vital energy of the Golden Sun Scripture skill was not weak, however.
Having withstood the vibrant attack for a while, the vital energy's domineering nature gradually
revealed itself. As if it were a young, energetic, wild bull that was being attacked, all its muscles were
surcharged and became full of energy, and its mind was filled with the eagerness of overpowering its
attacker.
The collision and confrontation continued for a while.
During this time, Austin did not dare to relax. Large drops of perspiration trickled down his face as he
strove to withstand the force of the confrontation.
He also had to bear the pain that the battle inflicted on him quietly. Otherwise, he would fail. Any tiny
flaw could bring him severe injury, or death.
To resist the attack of the chilly air that the Three-layer Grand Pagoda produced, Austin had to release
more vital energy from his elixir field. So, he summoned all of his Golden Sun Scripture Skill to release
as much vital energy as he could.
