Darnell and his men rushed into the bamboo forest like a gust of wind.
The bamboo forest covered a vast area.
Unlike any other bamboo forest anywhere, the bamboos here were so thick that it would take a full
grown adult to encircle the trunk with his arms.
With that kind of width, the bamboos towered high up in the air, taller than trees. Whenever a strong
wind blew and passed through the forest, they would let out a loud and eerie howling sound.
Deep in the forest, the team wandered around but got nothing.
A moment later, Darnell's men began to panic.
They had been going around in circles and it seemed like they were coming back to the same spot.
"This is not good. Darnell, I think we are lost."
"This bamboo forest is like a giant maze."
"I feel dizzy."
"Damn it! Yeah, something is definitely wrong. I can't tell which way is the right way, either," Darnell said
as he became alert.
His eyes darted back and forth to check if there was any danger lurking behind the thick bamboo
stalks.
Just then, there was rumbling sound followed by a strong tremor.
Around them, thick bamboos shot out and rose from the ground.
They had barely reached full growth when they turned into sharp golden arrows, coming at the squad
from all directions and at a terrifying speed.
At the same time, a large amount of yellow Earth Energy gushed out from the ground like a dusty cloud
of smoke.
It then formed massive yellow cage, shot up and flew towards Darnell and his men.
"Watch out!" Darnell screamed at his team.
As one of the cages was about to land on him, he swung the machete just in time, sending the yellow
cage pummeling in the opposite direction.
The other team members also took action and took on a defensive stance forming a circle facing
outward to protect each other.
"Austin, the geomancy array you set up seems very powerful!"
Otis remarked, shocked and in awe as he and Austin hid at a safe distance where they could watch the
entire scene unfold.
"This bamboo forest is of metal elements in nature. I made the Metal Trapping Array so that I can use
the metal attribute Earth Energy to take down the enemies.
In other words, I have turned the forest into a land of death.
It is less dangerous than the natural land of death.
But, it can distract this squad for a while and keep them occupied.
All right, Master Otis, it is time to take action and wipe out them,"
Austin explained.
"Okay! Let's get started!"
Otis nodded in agreement.
Whoosh!
Without so much as a blink, Austin vanished into thin air.
"Wow! That's awesome!"
Otis was amazed by Austin's speed.
"It's a trap! We fell into a trap! Come on. We have to get out of here.
Send a message to Aubrey and ask for help! Now!"
Darnell wielded his machete to fight off the attacking bamboos and cages as he tried to lead his team
out of the hostile bamboo forest.
A booming laugh resounded behind them.
"It is useless, you fools! You can't escape me," a voice said.
"Who the hell are you?" one of the team members shouted back in a panic.
He felt a chill run down his spine because the source of the voice sounded too close to him, almost in
his ear.
But before he could turn around, sharp sword lights appeared behind him.
The sword lights constantly hit him in the back.
Before he could even react, a giant golden fist appeared out of nowhere and hit him at the bottom of his
spine.
The poor team member was just an ordinary medium-grade divine god. He didn't even have the
chance to see who his attacker was. Austin was much too fast.
Eyes widening in untold fear, shock and horror, the medium-grade divine god exploded and his bones
and flesh splattered everywhere.
Some of the bamboo stalks even appeared to have been painted red with so much blood.
After that, Austin unleashed the Peerless Lightness Skill and then activated the Chaotic Striding Boots.
Whoosh! In a flash, he again disappeared into thin air.
In the next second, Austin appeared behind another member of Darnell's team.
Austin launched all kinds of attacks on that member. The sword aura, dozens of earth dragons, and
seven deities launched out of Austin's body and attacked his opponent as well. It was no longer
necessary but Austin managed to even punch the man.
The violent energy released by Austin filled the space where the team member stood.
When Austin assaulted him, the man was trapped in the Metal Trapping Array busy fighting off the
golden arrows and yellow cages.
By the time he caught sight of Austin, all attacks had landed on his body.
In a matter of seconds, another medium-grade divine god had died.
Austin was efficient when it came maximizing his time and his attacks.
It was not until now that Darnell and his men found that the young cultivator had terminated two of their
companions in the blink of an eye.
"Damn it! Who the heck are you, brat? How dare you lay a hand on my men?"
Darnell bellowed as he glared at Austin.
"Wait!
It's you!
Darnell, that guy's name is Austin Lin. Lisa followed him to get the three chaotic magic treasures.
But it looks like we have been fooled!"
an appealing woman beside Darnell exclaimed in surprise as she recognized Austin, pointing at him.
She was one of the six women who had joined Otis' team before.
"What's going on with this brat? He is just at the Divine Realm! How could he wield such powers?
Brat, where is Lisa? Tell me the truth, or I'll kill you now!"
Darnell roared as he shot dagger-like stares at Austin.
Austin burst into laughter. "Bitch, you are right. You have been played. I am sending you to Lisa so you
can see her,"
Austin said as he stomped on the ground with his foot.
Like a fountain, yellow Earth Energy once again gushed out from the ground.
The Earth Energy formed yellow cages that darted at Darnell and his men.
If they were ever trapped in the cages, it would take a while for them to get out.
"Brat, you're courting death!"
Darnell was completely irritated by Austin's actions.
It was the first time that he had crossed paths with a cultivator at the Divine Realm who dared to act
like this in front of him.
When he raised his machete and was about to hit Austin, Otis came down from the sky, with a
broadsword in each hand.
Otis waved his weapons at Darnell even before landing on the ground.
At the same time, powerful figures popped out one by one.
In a frenzy, they assaulted Darnell's team members.
Darnell's team consisted of eighteen members. Austin had already taken out two.
Now, there were only sixteen left.
Otis' team, on the other hand had twelve including Austin. Obviously they were outnumbered.
However, the Metal Trapping Array set up by Austin targeted only Darnell and his men. Otis' team was
not affected by it.
Deep in the bamboo forest, golden arrows overwhelmed Darnell and his subordinates. Meanwhile, they
had to deal with the massive yellow cages.
Besides, a large amount of the powerful Earth Energy formed thick foggy clouds floating that blanketed
the bamboos all around them. Darnell and his men were at a loss and couldn't tell the right direction.
Otis and his companions had the upper hand in this environment.
"You set us up! You bastard, you are beyond evil!
Where is Lisa? Show her to us!"
the attractive woman yelled as she pointed her finger at Austin.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, Austin was standing in front of her.
He moved so fast that the woman didn't have time to react.
"You will meet that bitch soon," Austin said impassively.
As he waved his hand, more than ten huge earth dragons tore the ground, rushed out and pounced on
the appealing woman.
He then dashed towards the woman, and unleashed his full might on her.
"Darnell, help me!"
the woman screamed in terror.
She became aware that she could not even hurt Austin at the slightest. His bodily movement skill was
much too advanced and mysterious.
Austin could dodge all her attacks without even trying.
But she found it hard to avoid Austin's simplest of moves.
After just a few moves, Austin punched her in the face, bashing her head in and crushing some of the
bones that protected her eyes.
Without wasting another second, he threw another three-punch attack at the woman. The woman failed
to avoid it and took all three.
Her face was so twisted that it could no longer show any expression.
"Arrgh! Boy, you are so cruel! How could you be so merciless to a lady?" the sexy woman screamed
hysterically as excruciating pain devoured her.
Her words were getting harder to understand as blood started to pool in her mouth.
The instant those words left her lips, her delicate body exploded.
All her points and magic treasures were automatically transferred to Austin's.
"You give yourself too much credit. Why would I show mercy to you?"
Austin sneered, with no compassion in his eyes.
Whoosh! He disappeared as the woman collapsed in a lifeless heap.
Austin moved on and showed up behind another enemy.
The secret realms in his body were well connected, and the endless chaotic energy was surging and
concentrated in Austin's fist.
Bam!
Austin smashed his opponent's head with one strike.
With the Chaotic Striding Boots and the Peerless Lightness Skill, Austin could achieve high velocity
even at abnormal levels.
