"Everyone, get over here! We need to stop the brat.
He is about to destroy the array!"
one of the governing gods screamed. Fear pressed down on all the governing gods when they saw that
the power of the array was still dropping. The array was the best weapon they possessed and
if they were to lose it,
the five sword spirits would be able to overpower them. They were determined to step in and stop that
from happening.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Using their bodily movement skills, they dashed towards Austin.
"Austin, hold on! We're coming to help you!"
When the horde of governing gods heading towards Austin caught the attention of the five sword
spirits, they swooped in to rescue him.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
A huge array made up of five, colorful swords shot into the air. Then, it meshed together and formed a
thick, colorful light column. It powered through the void, heading directly for the governing gods.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Everything in the light column's path was pummeled into dust.
Seeing what they were up against, the governing gods turned pale and leapt out of its way.
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
But one of the governing gods was too slow and the light column collided with him. He fell to the
ground, writhing as half of his body disintegrated into a bloody mist.
When they saw this, the other governing gods were shocked.
They turned to look at the array and
saw that it was weaker than ever before. A sense of doom washed over them.
"You can't hurt Austin as long as we are here!"
The five sword spirits leaped into the air and stood between Austin and the governing gods of the four
major forces.
Austin nodded and faced the array again.
He activated the Ultimate Mind Sword Skill and sliced more of the white tubes that were transmitting
energy to the array above the Divine Sword Mountain.
As a result, some white tubes broke off and the energy in the array began to fizzle out.
"Damn it!
Our array is going to fail! And we are so close to winning!"
"How is that brat still alive? He is too powerful!
The array's energy has been pounding on him this whole time, yet he is barely hurt!"
The governing gods were in a panic. Austin was still cutting down the white tubes and the array was
losing more power by the second.
Even worse, the five sword spirits had activated an array of colorful swords that floated in the void and
protected Austin from all their attacks.
"Find a way around their array! We must kill that brat!"
a governing god yelled.
"Kill him!"
Using their best skills, the governing gods sent several attacks in Austin's direction.
However, the five sword spirits were determined to protect Austin, so they met each attack with their
own defensive skills.
A fierce battle broke out again,
but this time, the five sword spirits had the upper hand.
"Somebody catch that brat!
Then we will all attack him! Don't rest now. Use all the energy you have left!"
one of the governing gods ordered.
"Yes!
Let's get him!"
the other governing gods responded.
"Kill!"
Like a tsunami wave, members of the four major forces and their affiliated forces rushed towards
Austin.
Behind them, white tubes were still trailing.
They looked like puppets on strings.
"Don't even try it! I will kill you all!"
Austin warned.
As soon as he had finished speaking, a circle of strong sword radiance emerged from him and floated
in the air.
Then he activated his sword aura, causing a huge ring of light spread outwards.
Because his current level of swordsmanship was so high, Austin's every word, action, and thought
contained immense energy.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
Suddenly, several of the governing gods that had been charging at Austin were flattened by the sword
aura. Trails of blood streaked the grass.
Normally, the four major forces and their subordinates were stronger. But after maintaining the array for
so long, they had lost a lot of their energy and vitality. To Austin, it felt like he was squashing ants.
A moment later,
all the white tubes that gave energy to the array had been cut off by Austin.
The array was failing.
Its brightness dimmed and
the energy it released was no stronger than a whisper.
"We failed,"
one of the governing gods whined.
They exchanged looks of concern
and anger.
"Damn it!
We spent so long planning. The array was supposed to be foolproof!
We should be in control of the Divine Sword Mountain right now!
If this bastard hadn't shown up, nothing bad would have happened."
"You're right!
It makes me want to rip that brat limb from limb!"
"We lost so much during this battle and now we have nothing to show for it.
Even if we had the chance to kill the brat a million times, it wouldn't even make up for it."
Every eye was focused on Austin, full of fury and indignation.
Torrents of anger cut through the governing gods' hearts.
But no matter how much they wanted to rip him to pieces, he was now under the protection of the five
sword spirits.
"Everyone, step back!
Stay away from the array!"
one of the governing gods of the four major forces ordered. They now understood that the battle was
over.
If they continued to fight,
it would only bring them more loss.
Besides, the array had extracted and absorbed lots of their energy and vitality. They were exhausted
and weak.
If the battle hadn't ended when it did, nearly all of them would have died.
So the governing gods gave the order,
and they all resigned.
The governing gods all stared up at the sky.
At this point, the array above the Divine Sword Mountain had completely powered down.
Boom!
With a loud bang, the array exploded, showering the ground with dozens of broken pieces.
Instead of dodging the pieces, the governing gods chased after the flying debris and collected each
shard.
A few seconds later, all the white tubes had vanished without a trace.
"From this moment on, the Sword Cosmos will be different.
Today's battle is the beginning of the end for the four major forces!"
Austin announced.
The explosion of the array was still shaking the void over millions of miles behind him.
"What are you trying to say, brat?"
"You're wrong! We've ruled the Sword Cosmos for a long time.
Who do you think you are? Because we see you as nothing more than a insolent toddler! Do you really
think you can change the Sword Cosmos?"
A wave of fury rose in the group of governing gods of the four major forces once again.
"Every time I've come to the Sword Cosmos, you old bastards hunted me.
I will never forget how you treated me. You will regret it one day,"
Austin said, scowling down at them.
"In fact, I think right now is the perfect time for you to start paying for your disrespect!"
Austin shouted.
