Look at Each Other in the Crowd
Unbeknownst to Jordy, two women said some terrible things about him at the same moment on this day

One called him blind, and the other called him deaf.
It was strange that such a person thrived in business circles and was also a monster in everyone‘s
eyes.
Jordy‘s eyes narrowed, and his stare was more malevolent than ever.
Gloria gathered up her skirt. To be honest, the shoes Jordy chose for her looked nice, but
not very comfortable.
She seriously doubted if Jordy had bought her such shoddy shoes on purpose.
As she moved, Jordy saw Gloria‘s feet that chafed.
His brow furrowed instantly.
Gloria smiled, “Look at my feet. Do you still want me to go with you, Mr. Collins?”
Jordy pursed his lips and walked away without saying a word.
Rachel saw him take his phone out and call someone.
After a moment, Rachel averted her eyes from him to Gloria and said with a half smile, “Miss
White, you‘ve got over him, haven‘t you?”
Gloria raised her eyebrows, but there was no response.
It was like Rachel would not believe whatever she said.
Seeing this, Rachel said smilingly before leaving, “I have some business to tend to. Miss White.
Excuse me.”
Gloria smiled at her and nodded. “Sure.”
Things around her suddenly quieted down.
Her phone suddenly started buzzing.
Gloria was puzzled by a flood of text messages on WhatsApp.
After she texted Jonathan back, he didn‘t respond. But now he kept texting her.
That‘s not his style.
Gloria found some messages from Nydia and thought it was her style.
Nydia, (What?!)
Nydia exclaimed, (Holy cow!)
Nydia asked, (How come you‘re with Jordy? You two are at the same party!
Nydia pressed Gloria, (Gloria, what on earth is going on? Why do you two show up at the party togethe
r? I suppose you were done with him.)
Gloria‘s eyes widened in shock.
Gloria texted her back. [How do you know?]
She didn‘t remember telling her friends that she was with Jordy.
Nydia, [Now I see you sitting on the couch in the corner. You were talking to Rachel moments ago.)
Gloria was petrified.
Nydia, (It‘s a live broadcast of the party!)
Gloria cried out, (Holy crap!)
Nydia, (It‘s so rare to hear a dirty word from your mouth. What the hell are you thinking? Are you
crazy?)
Gloria looked paler.
It‘s live coverage of the party!
That means everyone can see me and Jordy on the screen!
It‘s not different from how things used to be.
Darn it, Jordy! He must know about it!
Is he doing this just to make Karen happy?
Gloria looked back and saw the best man in the world among the crowd.
There was something altogether unique about him, something that set
him apart from those people around him.
Jordy sensed Gloria‘s murderous gaze and turned his cold eyes to meet hers.
Gloria seemed to notice scorn surfacing under his eyes.
The phone buzzed, and Gloria checked her WhatsApp.
It was another message from Nydia, saying, (Tut–tut, you two are looking at each other in the crowd.)
