Did the White Family Make Initiative to Act Again?
Angela knows her mother very well. Since her mother had become so nervous like this, something
serious must have happened to her. Or otherwise, she could have nailed it down calmly.
Back in the past, every time Angela was pissed by something, her mother would try to help her deal
with all kinds of problems. Her mother had always had that kind of strong personality.
But then, things all went wrong with her mother. Even Angela could feel that her mother was trying hard
to control herself.
“Nothing serious. You only need to take good care of yourself. Don‘t worry about me or anything else.”
Martha squeezed a smile at Angela and said calmly.
“There is nothing I cannot accept. You can just tell me. If you don‘t tell me, there will be no one
offering you any advice. Just remember no matter where and when you are, we are still a family. Family
help each other but others won‘t care about you!”
Martha seemed to grow more irritated at the mention of the family. Because she thought Claude had
already brought enough trouble.

As she pondered over Claude, she was so irritated that she wanted to make him suffer.
“I know, but there‘s nothing important.” Martha still did not intend to tell her.
Angela frowned and said, staring at Martha. “You‘re lying to me.”
“Why would I do that?” Hearing this, Martha was a little depressed. But she couldn‘t express her
feelings in front of her daughter.
Angela took a breath and switched to another topic. “How is the company now?”
As soon as she finished the question, she found that her mother‘s face suddenly turned grim.
Angela noticed the changes in her mother‘s expression.
Mother has been so unhappy these past two days. Is it because something wrong has happened to the
company?
Or did Mr. Collins plot against the White family again?
“The company is‘fine as usual.” Martha said naturally and then added, “We don‘t have to worry
about this. Your father can handle them on his own.”
“What about the coming cooperation between Jordy and Gloria?”
“I guess it will be soon.” Martha still looked quite indifferent to it. She stopped for a while and
looked at her daughter. She then said, “you know, there is no chance between you and Jordy any
more. I guess you must have realized this by now.”
Angela felt the pangs in her heart as if she was stabbed harshly. But the next moment she sneered and
answered, “I know. I won‘t expect anything between us. I expect nothing to happen between me and
Jordy anymore. I hate him!”
But Angela knew she would never let Jordy be with Gloria. She would never let that happen.
Martha sighed and nodded, “Alright. This is your fate. Anyway, it is nice that you can move on now. I
used to think that Jordy was a nice young man with an excellent family background. If you marry him, it
will bring many advantages to our family. Besides, you like him so much. But now that you have come
to this, there is no need for you two to continue.”
“Yes, I see.”
Angela answered with too many words. She didn‘t want to talk about this topic any more.
In fact, when she asked whether Gloria and Jordy had a cooperation just now, she only wanted to see
whether that was what her mother was worrying about.
However, she saw no sign of hesitation from her mother‘s answer. With that, Angela recognized that
there must be something else worrying her mother.
But she didn‘t trust anyone any more. She didn‘t even want to seek help from her assistant Brenda.
After all, she had suffered a lot from the previous experience that had made her know better than
