The Last Hope
She was never his. He had been deceiving himself.
He was more clear–minded after Jennifer came to him.
He had been resisting his desire to go to Gloria. He wanted to see if Gloria was still thinking abou thim
and if Jennifer was mistaken.
As long as Gloria came to him, he could be sure that it was not what he thought
But…
Gloria didn‘t take the initiative to come to him, and the air between them was stiff.
He was so sad, even considering letting her go.
But he really couldn‘t bear to do that…
After seeing this news, he knew that he really should let her go.

Bryson couldn‘t help taking a deep breath. He found Gloria‘s mobile number and dialed it.
Gloria had adjusted her state of mind and was ready to work for a while.
But suddenly she saw the call from Bryson.
She knew why he called her even without thinking.
She hesitated for a moment, and answered the phone.
“Hey, Bryson.”
“Hey, what are you doing?” Bryson‘s voice was as gentle as ever.
Gloria‘s eyes turned slightly. It had been a long time since she talked to him.
She felt guilty every day, but she felt more comfortable if he didn‘t come to her. She always felt
stressed when she talked to him, but she was afraid that he would be shaken up again if she told him
the truth.
She came out of her trance and whispered, “Working. You didn‘t go to work?”
His head injured had been cured and he could work in the company.
Bryson smiled, “Yes, we just finished the meeting.”
He lied. He didn‘t have any meetings. He had been in the office all the time. He was like saying that he
didn‘t see the post on Twitter.
Gloria was wondering if he knew those things.
However…
She didn‘t mean to explain.
Bryson, however, was still clinging to his last hope.
As long as Gloria explained to him, he would believe that she still loved him and cared about him. It
was just that she had been working and busy all this time.
He tightly held his mobile phone with an extremely nervous look.
Gloria responded, “I see.”
She didn‘t know what to say.
Bryson waited nervously with full expectation, but only heard these two words.
