Strange Office Environment
She had been to Jordy‘s office before. And it looked almost the site with lilies own.
She knew he never liked having his own things to be the same as others. She wondered what this was
all about then,
Gloria raised her eyebrows in doubt with suspicion in her eyes.
Jordy has made such a great sacrifice so as to marry me again
Gloria didn‘t have time to check out the lounge. She just went to her chair and sat down. She turned
her computer and inserted the USB to check out the data. After she found nothing wrong, she took out
her own data folders.
Thien the telephone on the desk suddenly rang, pullin. Gloria back into reality. She quickly picked it up.
“Hello.”
“Miss White, we have already informed all attendees. You can come to the conference room on the top
floor right now. The meeting will start in about ten minutes.”
Harold‘s voice sounded as polite as ever, and Gloria niiswered, “Okay.”
After hanging up the phone, Gloria arranged the materials in her office and went to the conference
room on the top floor.
When she entered the conference room, almost everyone was there.
Harold saw Gloria, and immediately smiled at her and said, “Miss White, this is your seat.”
Gloria looked at where he pointed and her eyes sparkled with surprise. It was the first seat on the right
side of the host.
Everyone was looking at Gloria
She was wearing a work uniform which was a small black suit that day. Her long hair was simply
coiled up on her head, and her delicate and beautiful face looked calm and serious. Her wore a
demeanor like that of a queen, which gave a daunting feeling to others.
Everyone knew the identity of Gloria. They knew she and Jordy used to show up together in front of the
press. Probably Harold didn‘t have to introduce her to everyone.
However, there were still many newcomers in the company who might not pay attention to the News.
After all the attendees came, Harold made a brief connecting to the crowd, wearing a smile, “Ladies
and gentlemen, you must all know Miss White. She is the niece of the chairman of the White Group.
Miss While is the main leader in our cooperation with the White Group. We all need to
follow Miss White‘s guidance in many of our future arrangements at work.”
Though Harold already started as he thought everyone was there, still there was one person who
hadn‘t come. That was Jordy‘s.
People didn‘t say anything after Harold finished. They just looked at Gloria silently,
Gloria nodded to the crowd. “Hello, everyone. I‘m Gloria.”
They all nodded at her self–introduction.
People looked at her with different expressions.
Some looked at her with admiration, but some wore doubts and suspicions on their face. They couldn‘t
believe the company would let a woman without experience take charge of the project this time, which
was even such an important one.Isn‘t Mr. Collins crazy?Weren‘t there any arguments between the two
of them before?
Or is it because for businessmen, benefits and interests are more important than personal enmities?
How come everybody thinks there is something hidden behind all this?
Just as everyone was examining her, Jordy walked in the room calmly. Then everyone stood up‘
spontaneously. Gloria remained standing there in her previous position.
Seeing Jordy coming over, she didn‘t speak.
Harold had personally pulled the chair for Gloria and said, “Please sit down.”
Suddenly a tinge of surprise crossed Gloria‘s eyes. Then she still nodded without saying anything and
sat down. Jordy happened to sit down at the same moment.
Only then did others dare to sit down one by one.
Jordy obviously had a strong aura around him, which made other people feel afraid.
His handsome face was so emotionless. He didn‘t hurry to say anything when sitting there. He just
leaned back silently.
Harold was sitting in the first seat on the left of Jordy. Practically he was the host of the meeting. Jordy
only made arrangements for schedule or made decisions
