Soon, Jordy carried Gloria into the car very carefully. Gloria didn‘t think he was doing it wrong. All eyes w
atched them, so he couldn‘t just throw her into the car.
Besides, Karen might be watching TV. If Jordy hadn‘t helped Gloria out of the water, then their efforts wo
uld have been in vain.
Gloria could have swum to the shore on her own, but she didn’t do it in case the one who had shoved he
r shoved her again. She‘d better not let anyone know she could swim.
Jordy closed the car door and gave her a cold glare. “Don‘t do anything stupid again.”
Gloria‘s eyes flickered towards her bag. She opened it and found her phone wet. It didn‘t
work at all.
She asked with a smile, “Can I borrow your phone?”
Jordy‘s thin lips curled in a swift sneer. “You have to get me a new one.”
With that, he took out the phone from his trouser pocket. It was still dripping wet.
Gloria‘s eyes widened in shock.
Without getting changed in the lounge, Jordy headed back to the hotel as soon as he could.
The hotel was not far from here.
Gloria frowned slightly and looked at Harold helplessly. “Harold, could I borrow your phone?”
“All right.”
Harold handed Gloria his phone, and she immediately took it and texted somebody.
After that, she deleted the message and gave the phone back to Harold.
They remained silent all the way back.
This time, Jordy didn‘t carry Gloria in his arms. She draped
Harold‘s coat over her shoulders and walked quickly into the elevator.
Then, she rushed into the bathroom to take a shower.
She came out of the shower and saw Jordy sitting on the couch in the living
room. He just showered, I guess.
Jordy looked at Gloria and asked coldly, “Did someone push you?”
Gloria‘s eyes flashed as she smiled, “Mr. Collins, do you think someone pushed me!”
“You don‘t even know if you were pushed or not?”
Gloria said nothing with her lips pursed.
But Jordy could tell that someone had pushed Gloria today
He imagined how it happened and thought no one would be stupid enough to fall into the
water.
Gloria is smart. Who tried to push her there?
Why didn‘t Gloria say anything just now?
Jordy‘s eyes were cold.
Gloria didn‘t think it was necessary to elaborate on the accident. After all, Jordy and she were divorced. W
